Can the Saints go over to Colchester and get a vital three points from a fellow midtable club? I hope so if we want to have a chance of getting promoted this year.

With that said, here is the Saints' starting XI:

    Davis
    Wright-Baird-Claus-Bale
    Dyer-Viafara-Idiakez-Surman
    Rasiak-Jones

Subs: BWP, Pele, Skacel, Licka, Miller (GK)

Well it is already a miserable start for Saints as usual. Colchester scored after only 3 minutes!! Colchester have completely dominated the first 15-20 minutes with very little shown by Saints. :(

Colchester 1 Saints 0 after 28 minutes. Saints are showing that they might actually have a pulse, but the run of play is still mainly with Colchester.

Colchester with an excellent one-on-one which was terrifically saved by Davis to keep it 1-0. Where in the world is our defence? Wright was apparently at fault for the first goal.

Colchester hits the post on the following corner!! Man do we suck!!!

U's with another fantastic shot on net which Davis made another great save. Where in the hell are we!?! Are we even playing!?! It should really be 2 or 3 nil at this moment.

Bale with the freekick just outside the U's box with only a few seconds left in the first half. U's with a seven man wall!! That is some rather nice respect for the 17 year-old Bale, but unfortunately he puts the kick right into the wall.

Well that was a typical Saints' performance this year. Completely non existant in the first half and now they leave it to the final 45 minutes to try and pull out a few points. Imagine if we actually decided to play a full 90 minutes for once? We could actually be much higher up the table. This is a completely underperforming team and I am really starting to wonder about Burley. These are all of his guys and none of them are actually stepping forward and taking the team by the scruff of the net and leading them to victory. This is disappointing to say the least.

Let's hope Saints decided to show up for the second half!!

Skacel and Licka on for Viafara and Surman to start the second half.

Man is anyone in the midfield or defence picking up this McLeod fellow. He already has one goal and two terrific shots on net to start the second half which were fantatically saved by Davis.

So far the second half is starting much like the entire first half. Total domination by U's.

After a clean first half, the second half is beginning to become a bit more cynical. U's with two yellows (Brown 46', McLeod 55') and Saints with one (Licka 61').

BWP on for Rasiak at the 63' minute.

Finally a Saints' chance on net. Jones with a short range header that is saved by Colchester. It's a shame that it has taken almost 70 minutes to get to this point!! :(

Skacel with a shot that just goes wide of the post. He certainly has helped pick up the Saints' attack along with Licka.

    Still 1-0 U's after the 80' minute.

    DDDDAAAAAMMMMNNNNN!!!!!

Jones is absolutely shoved in the box by the U's defender and nothing is called!!! Even the Colchester announcers say that was a blatent shove in the back by the U's.

I guess this goes to show that you really have to create your own luck.

    FFFFF*****CCCCCCKKKKK!!!!!!

Skacel misses an absolute sitter right in front of the net. That has got to be the most shocking open net miss of the year!!!

Claus with a yellow now on the 87' minute.

Four minutes of extra time. Still 1-0 Colchester.

    DDDDDDAAAAAMMMMMNNNNN!!!!!

Colchester score again to make it 2-0. All of the Saints were in the U's end of the pitch and Cureton finds himself all alone at the halfway line and a simple one-on-one with Davis.

Well that match just sucked and was a complete waste of my morning!!! Saints are absolutely, shockingly pathetic!!!! Burley better start getting things right soon or people are going to be calling for his head. All in all that was a disgraceful performance and now we are sitting closer to the bottom of the league as we are to the top. It is amazing how more things change the more they stay the same.
