I dont know if anyone even wants to discuss the Wizards right now, but here goes. We need a win to solidify, and possibly secure, our playoff spot. If our manager would get his head out of his arse, we might just be able to win this one. There's talk of a free keg before the game, and here I was saying I wasnt going to drink at the game. But I can't let a keg go to waste. Bring a friend to the game, its our last chance to continue to show up the bastards that complain about our attendance by setting history. In case you missed the article, if we have a huge crowd we'll be the first team in MLS history to increase in attendance four years in a row and the first team to have 4 of the 7 largest crowds in the regulars season. Now if we could only do that every game.
fsck. Fsck, go figure, The weekend I fly out to watch a champions league game and an EPL game in Manchester is the weekend the wizards give away beer. Oh well, at least I will be at Old Trafford for two games in a week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go wizards, hope to see you in the playoffs when I return.
hey, give credit where credit it due! The keg has been paid for by me! Although it would be - in Spoon's parlance - money if we got a free keg from the FO.
im a huge soccer fan but my dad hates soccer and since im only 14 i cant really get to the games because no one takes me but i talked my dad into taking me
Well maybe this will be a good bonding time for you and your pops and maybe once he understands it he might like it a little more.
I had the same situation when the Comets were popular. I recruited my friends, other parents, and sometimes trusted neighbors. Call the Wizards and maybe they can put you in touch with other season ticket holders in your area for a ride. Try Mom too.
my friend has season tivkets but hr dosent likr taking me because we live a long ways away and my mom dosent like to drive a long ways(even though its only like 20 min. away) shes stupid
My parents used to not really like soccer but they saw how much I liked it so my dad started to learn about it so we would have something to talk about... Klein- if you dont have a ride to the game Im sure we could probably take you. You cant live too far away from me if we go to the same school...
IIRC, you live in Lee's Summit, right? Too far out of my way (I drive in from Lawrence), otherwise I'd offer. It's a shame people your age have to live without public transportation.
Back to on-field matters... My $.02 from the wagering forum: COL @ KC: KC is umpteen and 3 all-time against COL at Arrowhead. One of those Chris snitko had to shove a ball through his legs to lose a Cup match in the early days of MLS. Lite morning rain in KC calls in to play KC's abysmal record in the wet. {please clear up} Colorado is 3-2-0, 9 pts. in their last 5. Convincing they have not been. The two losses were 4-0 @ LA and 3-1 @ NE. The latest win being a 3-2 win over Dallas' "B" team during of the Bhutan Death March schedule Dallas had to work through. Last time to see the COL's green trim SCUBA-kits at Arrowhead. Fan appreciation day in KC is usually rewarded with 3 points. Neither Meola or Kramer are playing up to potential, luckily for us that leaves Meola well ahead of Kramer. For KC: Chris Brown is white hot with 3 goals in 3 off-the-bench apperances. Preki is due. Klien is running past everyone. Gutierrez and Simutenkov should be back. That should put Brunt and McKeon/Gomez on the bench for now. Any team with Guti on it will play better defensively. With any luck at all Fabbro gained some fitness in practice this week. If KC can finish one of those chances they always miss and find a defense for the full 90 minutes, this could be a blow out. Any kind of win will due for me. My money wants one in regulation. KC @ 2:1 to win is my bet.
