The good thing is that the truck drivers in Chuquicamata are cobreloínos, so when Cobreloa wins a title, they all make noise tith the horns inside the trucks, celebrating the Championships. They stop working when Cobreloa becomes Champion for some minutes.

Yeah, Codelco is a non-stop production company. There are 3 "turnos", 8 hours each.
In the 70s and 80s, when Cobreloa used to play at home at 3:30 P.M, the miners of the morning turno travelled in Codelco buses from Chuquicamata directly to the Municipal Stadium(Calama) to see another victory of Cobreloa, which was usual every sunday at that time.

Copper isn't endless resource, so Codelco and private companies invest A LOT of money to do studies searching for more copper. El Abra mine was discovered few years ago. Yes, Codelco is the biggest Chilean company.

There are some theories about the origin of the word "Calama". Some people say that comes from "Ckolama", and another people think that comes from "Ckara-ama". I dunno.
For me "Ck"=C, but I don't know how likan-antay spell it.

This is me in february 1993, when I was 15 (in Chuquicamata mine), I looked like a midget:D
Now I see that at that time, the trucks were CAT (Caterpillar).

Nice performance of their drivers. It's horrible to work during the night, best turno is 9-17.:D Croats say "turnus" sometimes, but in standard language it's smjena.

It's hard to discover sources of copper, probably with chemical analyze, small traces bring workers and those small vehicles.;)

Maybe likan-antay spell (Ts)kara - ama. Ts would be only C. Same like the female name Maritza. I have heard that this first name exists in South America. Maritza is a Slavic name, originally is Marica. So, Southamericans switch C with TZ. Likan - antay could spell this as Tz, or Ts.

For Calama it's more easier to switch Ck with C and say after Kalama. I have noticed many aboriginal words, which are very similar to Croatian words, but their meaning is completely different. But I don't understand differences between Aboriginal languages. It seems all the same, impossible to say: This is Guarani, this is Picunche language, etc. They all have probably their dialects, subdialects, which becomes even more to understand.

Caterpillar became very popular construction company. They have shoes also, but not only for work, they also have fashion designs. I like Timberland shoes more, or Salomon winter shoes. Because our winter can be cruel.:p

Almost 20 years passed since your visit here. It brings a lot of memories, at least I know this from my aspect, 80's, 90's, when I see those photos. Long time ago.:) We have the same hair color, black. Many teenagers would thought how to pump the air from those wheels (deflate tires), well at least one, because someone will caught you after.:D I would never do this activity. When I think over, I have never done this, even though I have planned. Time passed very fast, everything left in theory only.;)

haha, but that perfect turno unfortunately doesn't exist. I think that the best turno in Codelco is from 7 am until 3 pm, so they can attend Cobreloa matches on sundays at 4 pm.

In Brazilian Amazonas there's a town called Calama too. But it should be in another language. I don't know what language speak the northwestern brazilian aborígenes.

Yeah, good shoes. You can use those shoes here in winter, or during all the year in the south.

Finning Cat is Cobreloa's main sponsor in our t-shirt:

Another epic moment from that time, when I "played as goalkeeper" in the mythic Municipal stadim, just few days before the Libertadores Cup match 1993 between Cobreloa and Univ.Católica:

In Europe those turnos exist. Many of them leave early around 3PM so that they can buy things for home: food, beverages, coffee with friends, especially in Southern Europe. They all know how to enjoy in life.:) For example, in Croatia downtown caffe bars, restaurants are usually crowded. They all have a break at the same time. They give this nice final touch, relaxed touch. People talk on the phone in their offices, do other things, they play online games,:whistling: daily betting offer, internet activities: soccer forums:whistling:, shopping is also important during working time, taking children on practice, language classes, sport activities. Working time is well disturbed, at least in offices, other employment activities are much more difficult: construction, restaurants, bars, natural resources jobs, etc.

Croatia has these natural resources: http://www.indexmundi.com/croatia/natural_resources.html

I have found Chilean also: cobre(loa) is on first place.:D
    http://www.indexmundi.com/chile/natural_resources.html

Is there anything missing here? Salt maybe? Ocean is there, easy to collect salt. I can't tell is anything missing on Croatian list, maybe timber, because we have a lot of woods, drinking water, but this is protected, there is no cutting trees without control. Until now I didn't knew what is: mica.:) Mica exists in Argentina, Brazil. I have seen on TV big parts of salt in South America, not sure was this Chile.

X2Y4–6Z8O20(OH,F)4in which X is K, Na, or Ca or less commonly Ba, Rb, or Cs;Y is Al, Mg, or Fe or less commonly Mn, Cr, Ti, Li, etc.;Z is chiefly Si or Al, but also may include Fe3+ or Ti.
Very easy to understand. I recognize these Mendeleev elements. So if you need this mysterious mica, I could send.:D

Brand Timberland is connected with wood, lumberjack occupation. Yesterday I saw commercial about Cat winter shoes on those big video walls that squares have, they are davertising this because of upcoming winter.

Finning Cat works also in Uruguay, Bolivia and Argentina. Difficult jobs, I can't discover any easy employment in this industry, so that you can low your profile for a while.:D Safety is most important issue here, bad judgment could destroy current assignments. Maybe Laboratorio seems easier, it's not so demanding, similar activities, similar exams, tests.

I could work in parts of Logistica, Literatura y Software, qualified for this, I had a long friendship with logistica. I could give my contribution here.:) I could work several different employments, which don't have any mutual connection. I would finish one field, after that: I don't like this  and I enter in other field.:D Three mayor entrances.:whistling: But I finished all three.

Maybe Brazilian and Chilean Calama have some connections. From European experiences I can say that people left their place and change their environment and they bring the same city/place name. Best example is European places and US places:

    York - New York
    Amsterdam - New Amsterdam
    Frankfurt - Frankfort
Strasbourg - Strasburg (several US states have this name on their territory).
    Toledo - Toledo (Ohio)
Same thing is with Spanish, Portuguese cities in Central and South America:

    Cordoba
Santiago de Chile - Santiago de Compostela
    Jerez (Mexico) - Jerez

Nigerian capital Lagos is connected with Portugal.
Liberian capital Monrovia is connected with former US President

Australia has many UK, Irish places.

There are a lot of Aboriginal tribes in South America.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Indigenous_peoples_of_South_America

There is Calima culture in Colombia, slightly different.
    Auracana Colombia - Araucania.
Valdivia culture in Ecuador. Chilean footballer, Chile also has a nice city called Valdivia.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valdivia

I saw on TV one interview with Maka member from Paraguay, reporter started to talk Spanish, but she said only: Maka, Maka, she doesn't know Spanish at all, many tribes probably don't know Spanish or Portuguese, but I see many tribe names who have Spanish names.

In USA existed Croatan tribe, they are examing their possible European roots, because of the similarity with Croatia. Croatian Wikipedia says that some Dubrovnik sailors came in USA in 1587.

Heather Locklear has roots from this tribe. Today it's Lumbee tribe.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lumbee

Some historians say that those people from Croatan tribe had lighter skin, lighter eye colors, but they talked about the "White Ghost from the East". The theory is that those Croatian sailors mixed with Native Americans and they created Croatan tribe. Lumbee tribe don't have official status of Native American tribe, because they have also African-American roots, they accepted slave refugees in their camps. Scientsits are working on this European (possible Croatian) connection.

From Poland many people came in USA and they said that they are White Croats, because of region called White Croatia, today's Croats came from White Croatia around 6,7th century, but they left in todays Poland.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Croatian_American#White_Croatians

Ex-Pope J. Paul II said that his mother was a White Croat, somewhere from Krakow. Wisla Krakow fans are also very temperament, like Croatian.:D

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_Croatia

This is the list of medieval Slavic tribes: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_medieval_Slavic_tribes

In original sense, Croats are Western Slavs.

    This is strange:

Milceni, ancestors of Germans and Sorbs
    Obotrites, ancestors of Germans
Pomeranians, ancestors of Germans, Kashubians, and Slowinzen
    Polabians, ancestors of Germans
    Pyritzans, ancestors of Germans
    Rani, ancestors of Germans
Ślężanie, ancestors of Poles and Silesian Germans
    Veleti, ancestors of Germans
    Volinians, ancestors of Germans
White Serbs, ancestors of Serbs and Sorbs and Germans

This means that todays Germans have Slavic fusion, also connected with Sorbs and White Serbs.

At least White Croats are alone there.

Carantanians - ancestors of Austrians and Slovenes. Todays Greeks also have a lot of Slavic fusion. Same thing is with Hungarians and Romanians, but in smaller amount.

Zagorites tribe - Greek footballer Zagorakis.
Zagora means behind the hill. There are two (sub)regions in Croatia which have Zagora, or Gora: Zagorje, Zagora, Gorski Kotar
There is also Crna Gora (Montenegro), Kranjska Gora (Slovenia). Germans, Hungarians, Romanians, Greeks, Austrians have Slavic origins than.

    Iberian Peninsula pre-Roman people: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pre-Roman_peoples_of_the_Iberian_Peninsula

There is one tribe Bracari. Island of Brac in Croatia. Sounds similar, but we can't connect them.

Cobreloa played against U.Catolica when you visited this stadium, maybe before or after you came, maybe it finished 0-0. The grass had a natural color, nice photo.

Chile produce also lithium, fish meal, wine, fruits(apples, grapes, peaches, plums, kiwis, pears, etc.), fishes (salmons, etc.), crustacean, white lupins, avocados, onions, garlics, asparagus, cereals(wheat, maize, oats), natural gas, meat, pisco, lapis lazuli, flowers, milk, seaweed, salt, coins and bills, some oil, gold and silver, etc.
Tourism is more and more important every year.:)
Also, we have water biggest reserves in the world.

La Serena - Villanueva de La Serena(Extremadura, Spain)
Valparaíso - Valparaíso de Arriba(Cuenca, Spain)
Santiago (de Nueva Extremadura) (Pedro de Valdivia gave this name to the new Chilean city because he was born in Extremadura, Spain).
Nueva Extremadura(original spanish name for central Chile) - Extremadura(Spain)
    Linares - Linares(Andalucía, Spain)
Osorno - Osorno la Mayor (Castilla y León, Spain)
    Nueva Braunau - Braunau (Austria)
    Nueva Galicia (Chiloé) - Galicia(Spain)

Cobreloa played against la Católica a couple of weeks later. The result was 1:1 (1rst match in the Libertadores Cup 1993). Cobreloa reached 1/8 finals (we lost against Cerro Porteño de Asunción) and Univ.Católica reached the Final, but they lost it to Sao Paulo, the best team of the world in 1993.

I forgot about Croatian fruit, oranges, tangerines, apples, plums, pears, etc. - usual fruit.
Some individuals produce tropical things, like kiwan...Tamariu, a perennial tomatoes, maracuja, lychee, kumquat, several types of chili peppers, yellow watermelon, cantaloupe Jeju, Pepino, Fijo...

We don't use to much foreign countries, we refused Russian idea, so that their pipes don't enter on Croatian territory, so they needed to avoid us and take this direction: Serbia, Hungary, Austria and somewhere in the sea.:D It's always hard with them.

Lipizzan is a Austro Hungarian Monarchy heritage, but several countries saved this legacy.
Croatia doesn't have gold or silver. Haven't heard about to much gold in Europe. Only if they take from other continents. This is well known story.

    Lapis lazuli looks nice. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lapis_lazuli

That website where they write about resources and products doesn't give a lot of informations about both countries.

I have read now about proto-Basque language: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proto-Basque_language

I see few words from Croatian language, but they don't have the same meaning.

suhi - dry - Vani je suho "It's dry outside"
ohol - person who has his head in clouds, superior ideas, better than others - stuck up, overbearing.

You remember the result before 20 years.:D I assume that you know who scored without watching.:p Who played with you on this photo? Someone from the club?

Another Croatian bus was attacked with stones, this time in Bosnia and Herzegovina, serbs of course. People were returning from Vukovar commemoration, war veterans, etc. and they attacked them. Things are getting worse now, because of Hague Tribunal decision against serbs.:D They are not happy now.:)

Maracujas are produced in the extreme north of Chile, in the border with Perú, because the weather is a bit tropical over there.
Yellow matermelons("Sandías") are produced in Paine, San Felipe, etc.
Cantaloupe Jeju is called "Melón calameño", but it's not from Calama, but from San Felipe(Región de Valparaíso).:)
Also we have "melón tuna", which is green inside and white outside.

Chile had much more gold until XVI century, specially in Marga-Marga Valley (south of Quilpué and south of V.Alemana), but the spaniards used picunches like slaves to take the gold and stole it. They sent nearly all our gold to Spain.

Yeah, I remember that because Libertadores 1993 was our only Libertadores Cup in the 90s:thumbsdown: We had to wait until 2000 to play Libertadores Cup again.
We had great players in 1993: Leonardo Canales(he works in Cobreloa now as goalkeeper coach), Hugo González, Pedro Jaque, Héctor Puebla(our symbol), Marcelo Miranda, Fernando Cornejo(R.I.P.), Jaime Vera(Borghi's assistent in the NT until last week), Juan Covarrubias (our historic topscorer), Pedro González(he played U20 World Cup in 1987), Marcelo Álvarez(one of the fastest players that I've ever seen), Marco Antonio Figueroa(possible new coach 2013, he was our coach during Clausura 2008), etc. Our coach was José Sulantay (U20 Chile NT coach in WC Canada 2007).

I don't remeber who scored our goal in that match, honestly, I'll google it;)
Nobody played with me, I only jumped to simulate that I was GK, but there's no ball at all:D

Fernando "Feña" Cornejo (R.I.P.) scored against la Católica in that 1rst match (that was his 1rst international match):

Rodrigo Barrera scored the UC goal.
Cornejo and Barrera were part of the NT in WC 1998.

In southern areas of Croatia: Istra, Dalmatia, West Herzegovina, we could find olives, oranges, tangerines, pomegranate, vineyards in natural environment. Beside that ordinary fruit: apples, plums, etc.

One West Herzegovina song has these words:

    Grlim nocu hladne jastuke
dusa mi je prazna bez tebe
    otis'o sam, morao sam
    dio tebe ponio sam
    tvoje ime, moje prezime

    Ref. 2x
    Kamen, krs i maslina
    vino, ganga, Neretva
    sve to ima zemlja ta
    moja Hercegovina

    Svake noci tebe sanjam ja
    ranila me pusta tudjina
    vracam ti se zemljo sveta
    iz daleka tudjeg svijeta
    ne odlazim vise nikada

    Ref. 2x

I am embracing my cold pillows through the night. My soul is empty without you. I left, I had to go, I took the part of you, your name and my last name. Stones, rocks and olives, wine, ganga, Neretva, all of this my country has, my Herzegovina. Every night I dream about you. I feel wounded in this foreign world. I will return to you my holy ground from distant foreign world. I will never go again.

This fruit is very special there, it really seems different than in other parts of Croatia.

    http://www.ljubusaci.com/index.php?...d=1979:ipak&catid=7:knjizevni-kutak&Itemid=30

Here is the song from above in Croatian, with photos of West Herzegovina: photo of Sydney is in one of those videos, because of diaspora element, migrations, most popular countries among West Herzegovina people are: USA, Canada, South America, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, South Africa. South America was in previous decades, after WWI and WWII (Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Uruguay, Peru, Bolivia).

    Some other photos, same song.

Stone is important thing there, because at the same time it's human enemy, because stones destroy the land, so people needed to find solutions how to live on rocky ground. On much smaller space than Croatia, West Herzegovina has small coast, high mountains, waterfalls, river Neretva, ski centers. There is the border between Mediterranean and continental area. In high mountains it's strong wind.

You can see much more tropical plants in natural environment, Europe imports mostly, unless someone very devoted creates something. Other fruit from West Herzegovina are those ordinary species: peaches, cherries, plums, apples, like in other parts of Europe.

The situation with Spain is strange, they took so much gold, but today they have financial problems. On the other some other European countries used other countries and created better environment for themselves. I have seen one documentary that many Aboriginal people came in Spain with boats, "buques" in Spain, so that they can work for people in Spain. Many of them left in Spain forever, so it's possible that some people can have Aboriginal origins there. A lot of suffering for Aboriginal people, forced religious conversions, destruction of civilizations, cities, that's why European countries have problems, bad mutual relations between countries, greedy character helped a lot in this, EU is in huge crisis, everything that they brought is gone now. Priests said that Aboriginal people don't have souls, so they can be killed if they don't listen. Racism exists in Europe for centuries, this is not something new.

Fast players are rare people, Croatia had Robert Jarni and Ivica Olic, can't remember is there any other fast player. Southamericans are faster in general, especially if they have different origins: African, Aboriginal. Europeans are slower people. But they developed bunkers, formations like 7-3-0. It takes a lot of effort to create this.

I thought that you defended the goal and the ball left somewhere. Sneaky.:sneaky::D

Cobreloa retired the number of Cornejo. This group was equal, only two of them went further? One point only. After that match against Barcelona in Ecuador, I have seen that Vasco da Gama won against Barcelona in one final, 1998.:)

Not anymore. He wouldn't continue in his charge.
We don't know who will be our new GK coach. Hopefully Eduardo "loco" Fournier.

Peruvian-Colombian Juan J.Barros has a chance to continue in Cobreloa, because Patricio Contreras(Football Section president) wants him for 1 more year.

So the weather in Croatia and Valparaíso Region is similar, because our region produces olives, oranges(in july), tangerines, pomegranates, wine (vineyards), etc.

    Sipak=pomegranate=granada.

West Herzegovina have similarities with Región de Valparaíso too: We have coast (with cold water anyway), very high mountains, river Aconcagua, ski center, beaches, a lot of wind in the coast and in the mountains, similar fruits, etc.

Yeah, I have some friends in Spain and they tell me that the situation over there is terrible. The young people can't find proper jobs. For that reason, thousand of young spaniards (proffesionals most of them) arrived to Chile in 2010, 2011, 2012, etc. looking for good jobs, stability, etc. I heard spaniards talking in the streets everyday. Too much "Z", "venga", "tío", "joder", "vosotros", "ostias", etc.:D We have good relationships with Spain and spaniards. All of them are welcome here (except the telephone companies and some banks LOL).

Marcelo Álvarez (1989-1995) was great, he was much more faster than Alexis Sánchez. Another fast player in Cobreloa was Jorge Muñoz (1987-1990). A.Sánchez and Eduardo Vargas seem "slow" in comparison to them.;) Juan Covarrubias was very fast when he was left winger in the 80s, but in the 90s he became slow.
This year Marcos S.Pol(ARG) is our fastest player.

3 out of 4 advanced in each group in the 90s in Libertadores Cup. So in our group in 1993, Univ.Católica, Bolívar and COBRELOA qualified to 1/8 finals. San José de Oruro was eliminated in the group stage.

It seems so. Those "warm" areas of Croatia are coastal areas: regions Istra, coastal part of Lika, Dalmatia with islands, West Herzegovina.

Continental parts are colder, it's often to see continental parts who are colder than coastal parts with double value:

Now it's 7, 8 in continental parts, 10-17 in coastal parts. November is warm so far, winter will arrive at 21. December. West Herzegovina is probably between 15-17 now.

Almonds are also important, I think much more in Dalmatia. Walnuts and hazelnuts are in whole Croatia. I like Brazilian walnuts. It's written on labels. Some other fruits in whole Croatia: blueberry, blackberry, raspberry, cherry, cornelian cherry, melon, watermelon, quince, strawberries.

Production of honey is also important in whole space, because of plants who are on clean spaces, but some people cheat, they put a lot of sugar and they say: this is honey.:sneaky: I know two plants: heather, sage, at least Google wrote these names.:D

One website about animals, plants: http://www.dzzp.hr/eng/species/red-...d-animals-of-the-republic-of-croatia-146.html

    http://lntreasures.com/croatia.html

They write here about plants and animals: http://www.britannica.com/EBchecked/topic/143561/Croatia

Hydroelectric power stations, haven't heard about these mostly.:D
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Hydroelectric_power_stations_in_Croatia

City of Senj is famous because of the strong wind.

EU countries are in protests, everyday activity, conflicts with the police, Poland had a strange situation, maybe you have heard. Every politician just talks about the crisis, savings measures, it became boring to listen the same stories. Europe had a reputation of a social sensitivity story. Maybe until 1990.:D Many things are imported, Chinese products are very often in Europe.:sneaky: Almost everything, clothes, electronics. Car industry, I hope food industry is so far mostly European. Even garlic comes from China in some countries. Industry and production are the areas that every country must create, but people are on strikes, France has lower credit rating now, public companies and servise are often on strike.

Economy is: rise up the prices, low donw salaries, remove Christmas awards, jubileum awards (10,20,30 years, etc.), rise up the prices in stores, home care costs (gas, electricity, telephone services, etc.), reduce the number of people who work. This is European everyday life.:D From Portugal to Greece. Only Scandinavian countries have ok results I think, beside Iceland, maybe UK, Germany. Other countries are well disturbed.:) Football market is going down, there are not many expensive players like before. Managers give up from high investments.

Spain has constant protests, Greece, not sure who else, union protests, megaphone demands, many countries enlarged deadline for pensions, people must work more. Many people in general want to go in Canada, Australia, they try to get in good Asian countries, Spanish speaking people like to go in South America, they try in Mexico, Panama....

I have heard two male persons before few days, they used Spanish language, can't tell which country, are they from Spain at all. One of them looked lighter, second one looked darker, they were in the bar, I could only hear their goodbye and: que te descanses. Something like this. They said "s" at the end.:) I saw two Southamerican guitar players, before 1 month maybe, CD album Latino, not sure from where, maybe Peru, Bolivia, they are Aboriginal people for sure, long black hair, ojos chinitos mostly. First few days they both played, after that only one played, this one gave up, maybe he wanted to sleep more. In bars, restaurants I hear often foreign languages: English, German mostly.

Some banks are really terrible, for example one bank from Slovenia:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ljubljanska_banka

Slovenia plays dirty games, same thing is with the Sarajevo bank, they also collapsed at the end of Yugoslavia, they don't return peoples savings.

Austrian and German banks are ok. Croatia doesn't accept any of eastern countries, they are not reliable. There is one French Societe Generale. Italian banks are not so popular, because of their crisis. They come and go.

Croatian banks are in foreign hands mostly::sleep:
    http://www.pbz.hr/eng
    http://www.zaba.hr/home/wps/wcm/connect/zaba_en/zabapublic/about_the_bank

Many of these domestic banks are not popular at all. PBZ and ZABA are with Austrian banks. Red letter banks are not popular, those which have informations, they are good.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_banks_in_Croatia

    Spain has Caja banks: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Banks_of_Spain
I have heard for them. Unicaja is a sponsor of basketball team Unicaja Malaga, at least they were. People who have credits, leasings talk about the banks. I don't have these issues, so I don't have problems, ordinary client who comes and goes. Europeans in general are critical for everything. This is becoming boring to see on TV, news, talk-shows, internet, sensational headlines, provocative news..

I have seen this player, he scored few recent goals: Juan Ignacio Duma.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Juan_Ignacio_Duma

When we see where his surname exists.:D
    http://imehrvatsko.net/namepages/view/family_name/prezime-Duma

I think that this surname is more Czech, Slovak, maybe Hungarian, Polish. These in Croatia could be from the same origins.

Temperature contrasts are huge between coast and "interior" here too.
Yesterday(monday) for example: Santiago 32°C and sunny at 4 P.M; Valparaíso 16° C and cloudy at the same time. So in Santiago the summer already started, but in Valparaíso is spring, as usual.

Maximum temperatures for wednesday in Chile: http://www.meteochile.cl/pronostico.html
    Arica and Iquique 22 (coast)
    Calama 24
    Antofagasta 20 (coast)
Easter Island(Rapa Nui) 23 and soft rain (coast)
    Copiapó 26
La Serena and Coquimbo 18 with soft rain (coast)
V.Alemana and Quilpué 23 with soft rain
Viña del Mar, Valparaíso and San Antonio 18 with soft rain (coast)
    Santiago 25
    Pichilemu 17 (coast)
    Rancagua 24
    Talca 23
Concepción 18 (close to the coast)
    Temuco 21
Valdivia 18 and rainy in the morning(close to the coast)
Osorno 17 and rainy in the morning
Puerto Montt 15 and rainy in the morning (coast)
    Castro 13 and rainy (coast)
Puerto Aysén 12 and rainy (fiord)
    Coyhaique 15
    Balmaceda 10
Puerto Natales and Punta Arenas(Strait of Magallanes) 7 and soft snow
Puerto Williams 5 and soft snow (coast)
Antártica Chilena 0 and soft rain.

    This is our Chilean spring.:)

Región de Valparaíso produces honey too, in south Quilpué and other rural areas. Belgium buys our honey because they don't produce enough. Our bees work full time:cautious:

Yeah, European are protesting everyday against the crisis and their politicians, specially in Spain, Portugal, Greece.
In Chile we have protests too: Calameños against centralism and copper royalties for foreigner companies, students against the expensiveness and bad quality of the universitary education, fishers against the new law of fishing, mapuches against the Chilean state and the violence of Carabineros(Police), youngs and people in general against "Hidroaysén" hydroelectric central project, Magallanes and Aysén people against centralism and other problems, etc.

"Que descanses" means "rest". Typical friendly goodbye late at night before going to sleep.
If they pronounced the final S, of course they're not Chileans.;)

Few weeks ago I heard to men chatting in Santiago's metro, with a slavic language, but I can't say if they were speaking in Russian, Croatian, Slovakian, Bulgarian, Polish, Cezech, Slovene, Ukrainian, etc.o_O One of them was very small I remember. They looked like tourists.

Most part of the tourists here are Argentines, Brazilians, Northamericans, Germans, British, some French too. Now most part of Spaniards aren't tourists, but inmigrants. I don't see many slavic people here. Probably there are, but they don't speak too much on the streets.

Miel.:D Austria, Germany, Benelux and England is our market. With some other European countries.

Grinch came in Europe and he took everything.:sneaky: That's why people protest often.:D Huge change when you compare Europe in 80's, 90's and now. People are in their loans, credits, they bought departments, houses, vacation homes, cars on credit, leasing, etc. Now they can't pay anymore, they lost their jobs, or the banks rised up their monthly rates, salaries went down.

Public companies are full of people which don't have any productivity, several people work on something that should only one do. Employment through connections, I know one friend, he knows one friend and you will be hired.:)

Construction is in problems. For example Spain, every time when you visit Spain, you could see a lot of new buildings, departments, construction companies worked full time, same like in other parts of Europe, I don't include those eastern countries, they are in much bigger problems. Real estates were expensive in Europe, people took leasing, they payed, now they lost their real estates, companies have empty departments, people can't afford this anymore. Many people sell their own homes and go in rental departments. Because new laws came, people must pay taxes for their homes, the amount is similar like you don't have your own home and you pay to the dueno. Many people can't pay their home activities, bills, etc. I know one friend from Spain, she is in Mexico now. She had a company in Navarra, everything went well, until the black day came. She wasn't concerned about the money before 2,3 years, she travelled often, after that her company came in problems, she sold everything and she went in Mexico. I don't know what she could do there, when she writes, I don't see to much joy about her new life. Really hard.

Many Europeans are going in Canada, Australia, alone, without families, some people go in Qatar, UAE, Hong Kong, China, they try in Japan. In China you need special driving license, if you have one, you must take another lessons, like you never drived before.

I couldn't leave alone in such distant countries. Even when I go on vacation, I see-hear many sad stories from other people. Every taxi driver has his story, mostly they are foreigners in distant countries, they ask you from where did you arrived, they hope that you came from their country, if you know their native footballers, they are happy, but still no discount. Many European nations live like they are still in their native countries, second, third and fourth generations marry between each other. In some big cities, you could see deserted streets, people don't go out, bars are mostly empty, Friday night. I would feel home nostalgia for sure, after two weeks I start to compare things, what is similar with my country, I write SMS to my parents, friends, even though it's vacation, everything is fine, but still nostalgia is present. Imagine buying one way ticket. People are forced to leave, nobody wants to leave just because of some adventures, new world. Foreign people are usually sad if they are not born there, frozen view, their country is far, usually India, China...

In Zagreb they protest against prices of public transport, but online, not on the streets, they are making mobile phone application so that they can send information where is ticket control.:D The price is around 2 euros, just for several hours. In Vienna you can travel 2,3 days with the price of 3,4 euros. City created new transport vehicles, they also have bank loans, they need to pay, problems came, so they rised up the prices.:D Agricultural field is always unhappy in Europe. Clima became bad, to much rain, to much sun.

I could recognize Slovene, Serbian, Czech, Polish, Russian language.
Bosnian and Montenegrin are very similar to Croatia, if I listen longer, I could say that they came from there. Serbian is with deep accent, terrible to listen, you could think that they all smoke to much. They don't have developed literature, so their language is not poetic at all, they took our language and Bulgarian Cyrillic letter. Same thing is with Bosnian and Montenegrin language. Montenegro has good literature, just because Venice developed Bay of Kotor there, coastal part is much better: Bar, Kotor. With strong Croatian influence.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montenegrin_literature

Pure Montenegrin poets::D Ludovico Pasquali, Giovanni Bona de Boliris, Giovanni Polizza, Giorgio Bisanti, Girolamo Pima, Timoteo Cisilla, Giovanni Crussala, Giuseppe Bronza and Girolamo Panizzola.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ludovico_Pasquali
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giovanni_Bona_de_Boliris

Montenegrins and Serbs mostly steal from others.

Czech-Slovak are harder to recognize, their differences.
I can't recognize is it Russian, Ukrainian or Belarus.
Bulgarian and Macedonian seem similar, I could recognize for longer time, if I listen.

All these countries have a lot of minority groups, for example Poland:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ethnic_minorities_in_Poland

They have Masurians, goalkeeper of Uruguay Mazurkiewicz could be Masurian, because they have Masur surnames, or Mazur. You can find Scottish people in Poland. Russia has 2000 ethnic groups. Who would catch their languages.:D

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ethnic_groups_in_Russia

Croatia also has around 10 ethnic groups.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_Croatia

Italians, Hungarians, Slovenes, Czechs, Austrians, Germans, Jews, Poles, Ukrainians, Slovaks are ok, but others.:cautious: They make mostly problems, their clan habits are well known, primitve behavior, they like conflicts, etc. People hope that they won't become their neighbors. Same thing is in other European countries, some ethnic groups are accepted, some of them not. Germans don't like Turks for example. you would be surprised in the case of Switzerland, they don't like Germans, they are not popular at all, with Albanians, Turks and some nations from ex-Yugoslavia. When something doesn't work, foreigners are guilty, their way of life, etc.:D

Those undeclared are mostly Serbs, Muslims, mixed ethnic groups, so they would rather be undeclared.:whistling:

I could recognize Spanish language from Spain, Argentina, Chile, Mexico maybe Colombia. Colombians use accents on the letter R, Chileans avoid letter S in the middle and at the end. Uruguay is maybe similar to Argentine accent, not so sure. I follow their interviews after the matches, differences in accents exist. I can recognize Portuguese and Brazilian Portuguese, I am not so sure here, but I think I could recognize: Kaka and C. Ronaldo for example.:D If they all start to use slangs, than I am in problems.:D

Next week we'll know who'll be our next coach.

Who could be good option for Cobreloa? I think that they will pick Miguel Brindisi. Tengo un sentimiento. Maybe I am wrong.

I like high temperatures, I feel relaxed. En esas momentos obligaciones no tienen ningunas importancias.:) Dinamo Zagreb lost again in Porto, 3-0. Coach said that this is the light at the end of one tunnell. In what world do we live??:sneaky: 3-0 is a light, what is darkness than? 9-0. Only 3,4 chances for Dinamo, they made around 35 fouls in all 5 matches, they can't go so soft. This coach is also history I think.:D 0 goals in 5 matches.:D Last match is against Dynamo Kyiv and nightmare ends.:p They will leave him until the end of season, because they will win national league anyway. After that, adios senor Cacic.;) Since 2000, Dinamo had 20 managers.:D They couldn't follow Zdravko Mamic's visions. A lot of visions.:) Only Zvonimir Soldo left alone, after he saw who are his duenos. He won the title and he left. Others wanted to be forever.:whistling: Terrible coaches.

I don't like those 4 candidates, but the "less bad" would be Fernando Vergara.
Brindisi win his last title 18 years ago, and he's very expensive, I don't like that.
Marco A. Figueroa is another candidate, but he could sign in club Puebla(Mexico).
Some directors wants Nogara, but he doesn't have experience as coach. Probably he's cheaper than the other ones.
Mario Salas was another candidate, but he has never been a coach in 1rst division, only in Serie B. But he's good, and not so expensive in my opinion. He's coaching Barnechea club.
Everyday we have different candidates: now José Sulantay is the new candidate to be our coach (he was our coach 20 years ago, and he was Champion in 1992; also he was 3rd in the U20 World Cup 2007 in Canada).

I like high temperatures (more than 25°) only when I'm in holidays, but not during work time. I prefer cloudy and rainy days.:)

It's sad what Dinamo Zagreb is doing in Champions League. No goals, no victories. Carrasco didn't play (as usual:rolleyes: ).

Since 2000, Cobreloa had 19 coachs:eek: (Salah, Malbernat, Merello, Acosta, Garisto, Díaz, Acosta again, Socías, Hermosilla, Aravena, Huerta, Benítez, Figueroa, Trobbiani, Vallejos, Toro, Soto, Acosta again, Torrente, and now .....?).
Only Acosta and Garisto won titles: Acosta won Apertura 2003 and Clausura 2004, and Garisto won Clausura 2003. Díaz reached the Final in Apertura 2004 and Acosta reached the Final in Clausura 2011. The worst ones were Benítez(2008), Vallejos(2009) and Soto(2010).

Expensive solutions are not good, Brindisi is expensive probably because he played in Boca Juniors, his national team, he had a lot of clubs in his coaching career. Jose Sulantay had good result in Canada. This could decide also.

Whole atmosphere in Dinamo Zagreb is bad. If they win another national league title, this is meaningless, nobody cares for this title anymore, or national cup, this is reserved for Dinamo so far, because we don't have real competition, one club has much bigger budget, better youth school, majority of Croatian footballers need to play in Dinamo if they want to leave abroad. There are few transfers without Dinamo Zagreb involvement.

Ante Vukusic was this player who avoided Dinamo Zagreb, but he plays in Pescara, not so good for his personal talents.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ante_Vukušić

Marko Livaja played few times in Dinamo Zagreb, after that he left in Hajduk Split, he plays now in Inter Milano. He plays in the first squad so far.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marko_Livaja

It would be much better that Croatia has at least 3,4 great clubs, without debts, with great youth school. Hajduk Split left their good youth tradition: Jarni, Asanovic, Boksic, Stanic, Vucevic, Vulic, etc.

Dinamo Zagreb was founded on the grounds of this club: HASK Gradanski, to bad because of their long tradition. Dinamo is an object of laugh now mostly, negative records, completely disturbed club.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HŠK_Građanski_Zagreb

Some clubs with lower budget show much better results than Dinamo: Anderlecht, Nordsjaelland, Bate Borisov, maybe Celtic and Braga also. Whole management must leave, Dinamo needs to take one good foreign stranger, it's useless to hire our terrible coaches who just want to be coaches for a while and after that they will go in some other Croatian club, maybe they will return in Dinamo after few years, same situation always. They buy some foreign players without real checking, they think that every Brazilian can be excellent. They have good managers, so they sell them very easy. Brazilian passport cost at least 1 million.:D Dinamo had only three good Brazilians: Eduardo da Silva, Etto, Sammir. That's it. Few good Argentine players: Ibanez, Calello and Cufre. Pedro Morales was also good player. We can't even see Bryan Carrasco.

There were some other expensive solutions, they bought old, injured and expensive Jens Nowotny. Cameroon player Mathias Chago is lost now, terrible shape, he was good before.

People don't even know about these players. Very bad shape.:D
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexandre_José_Oliveira
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anderson_Costa
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walid_Atta

    Worse buy of Aston Villa.:D
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boško_Balaban

    Who are they?
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tomislav_Barbarić
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mladen_Bartolović
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Almir_Bekić
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dražen_Biškup
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eddy_Bosnar

So called leader and captain, kicked from national team:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Igor_Bišćan

Some of them changed so many clubs:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saša_Bjelanović

Many very bad players on this list came in Dinamo recently:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:GNK_Dinamo_Zagreb_players

If they have few matches for Dinamo, without any or few national team matches, they are mostly bad players.

These numbers of coaches are very high for both clubs. After six months Dinamo Zagreb fans knows who is history.:D Many coaches don't want to come in Dinamo, because they know that this bench is very hard to handle, "slippery slope", they need to handle with management, fans and hard characters in the squad. Foreign, great coach would be nice solution: Felix Magath for example. Someone from northern Europe, without to much emotions, hot hearts, etc.:D

So far we have 4 candidates (tomorrow maybe 3): Fernando Nogara(ARG), Marco A.Figueroa(in Cobreloa 2008) and Jorge Aravena(in Cobreloa 2006) and Fernando Vergara.

Cobreloa lost most part of their great records since 2002.:mad:

Our directors don't work together, there are 2 or 3 "groups" inside the club. Total chaos.

In the old days, Cobreloa was the most solid club in Chile, invencible at Calama, always doing great games in southamerican cups, we used to hire great/very good/good players, everybody wanted to play in our club, etc.

Crisis started in 2004 in my opinion. We need another kind of directors, less "mine engineers" and more "football experts".

A good new is that our U17 qualified to Clausura play-offs, and will play in 1/4 finals against Audax Italiano U17. Tomorrow at La Florida(south-east Stgo.), and next week at Calama.
We have very good U17 players: Sebastián Romero(similar to Alexis Sánchez), Vildan Alfaro(topscorer), Fernando Cornejo (F.Cornejo's son), Matías Soza, Diego Orihuela(Bolivian), Johnny Ledesma, Iván Ledesma, Diego Suazo Yutronic, etc.

Negative records are something normal in Champions League for Dinamo. In Europa League they played much better. They have 1 man. He is the main person in whole Croatian football, he decides about the national team coach, expert team, medical members, squad...he is something like pulpo who controls everything.

2,3 groups are also terrible, they all watch their interest. In late 90's Dinamo was a great club, this is the last normal decade in Champions League: draw against Manchester United in Manchester, 1999, they were the champions in this year. 3-0 against Porto, 2-2 against Marseille, Sturm Graz was easy opponent, Ajax was defeated in Amsterdam, now they are disturbed against teams from Moldavia (Sheriff Tiraspol), Bulgarian clubs, clubs from Baku, like Neftchi. Previous management was much better, Croatian president invested a lot of money, he wanted to build new stadium, he brought Mark Viduka from Australia, Argentine coach Osvaldo Ardiles, he was bad, but they tried something. This management accepts only munecos que no habla nada, que solo accepta ordenes.

Dinamo has mostly average players now, every year they have 3,4 great players who leave after several years. Majority of them are weaker, like: Ante Puljic? Sometimes good, sometimes bad, Luis Ibanez is bad now. Joe Simunis is old now, Adran Calello is good, Arijan Ademi solid, he keeps this last DM position, Mateo Kovacic and Sammir are best players now, creative, in Dinamo they say that they refused 11 millions for Kovacic, not sure is this sure. Ivan Tomecak is talented, but in crisis now, Tonel is out, because of negative words against his coach. Coach is out anyway, not sure why they want to see Tonel out also. Authority, I guess, eternal faith in our coach leader.:D Sime Vrsaljko is a great talent. Bryan Carrasco is in bad shape, he has maybe 5,6 matches for Dinamo. Ivan Peko (surname Baker) and Josip Pivaric (surname Beer Maker) are ok, not sure about their development. Other good players: Fatos Beqiraj, Domagoj Vida, maybe Ivan Kelava and Duje Cop. Others jave problems, or they are young and unknown. Ante Rukavina is completely lost in his development.
Cobreloa could create new players. I see Diego Suazo Yutronic (cro. Jutronić). This could be symbolic, because Jutro means Morning in Croatian language. New morning for Cobreloa.:)

    Surname Jutronić: http://imehrvatsko.net/namepages/view/family_name/prezime-Jutronić

Area of Split, but one prominent historian Andre Jutronić was born in place called Sutivan, island Brač, which is very close to Split. It's nice to see Fernando Cornejo Jr., new generation.

Cobreloa U17 team should go further, 2-2 away is a good ground for celebration at the end. Plenty of time to prepare national cup matches.
