What has gotten into Cobi Jones? He has played extremely well since the WC2002. He is one of the main reasons for the great success of the Galaxy. He and Ruiz are the MVPs of the team. I am glad to see Cobi playing well again. People love to pick on Cobi Jones, but no American plays harder than Cobi.

It probaly has to do with the infamous head-butt he recieved from Marquez (I think that's him) during the Mexico game (lol). I agree though, he's been wonderful. All those assists really help the team.

Say what you will about his skills or lack of them.

Cobi is a class act in professionalism. Keeps himself fit, takes the role assigned to him.

I couldn't agree more. He's famous for his good attitude and willingness to help grow soccer in the US.

No like something relevant to this thread like, like leading his team to the Supporters shield, MLS Cup Finals, US Open Cup Finals. By not whining and complaining about calls that didn't go his way and threatening to take his ball and go home. By becoming the 2nd leading scorer in the playoffs. By scoring more points then Landon in the season. By working his ass off to help US Soccer, and give Landon what little limelight there was, that he in turn turned into his own personal temper tantrum.

Well, no need to get in a snit about it.

Cobi's been awesome. Personally I think he's been co-MVP with Ruiz post-World Cup, not only of the Galaxy, but of the league. He's been that good.

I've always sat on the fence about the guy, I can't really recall why now. But after his performance in Korea, and how he's played in MLS since June, I'm one of his biggest fans.

Go ahead and call me a bandwagoner!!!!! Just don't call me a Schmobi!!! :)

Cobi is sort of the Claude Lemieux or Kenny "the rat" Linsman of MLS. He is reasonably good, but at the same time he drives his opponents and their fans up the wall. He is an instigator and has a 'tude that brings out the worst in his opposition, often to his advantage. If he can get the Revs back line off their game, he will have made a major contribution.

This is quite an improvement over the "old" Cobi. He used to be a first class whiner and because of that I didn't really care for him. But he matured and became a player I've come to respect. He gives his all out on the pitch and you can't ask for much more than that. He's a real asset to LA, MLS, and the Nats.
