Coaching kids aged 10-11

    As part of my college course i will go be coaching at my old primary school with kids aged 10 - 11 and i have idea's of what im gonna do but does anyone have any advice as this will be my first time

    Put the most skilled kids in the middle of the pitch. If you have a player the others seem to look up to/listen to, put them in the middle too to control the flow of the game. Teach them to be competitive, but also make sure you stoke their ego's a bit, to keep their confidence high (confidence on a 11 year old is very easy to shake). Finally, don't neglect coaching the kids that don't seem to take to the game right away. I've noticed that these players, when they finally do click with the game, tend to be great role players to balance out the lineup.
