We need 9 points in the last 5 games (1.8 PPG) to avoid our worst season ever. We also need 1 goal to avoid setting a new league record for worst goals scored in a 34 game season
After the twin disappointments of Pablo and Hudson, I thought it couldn't get any lower. My suggestion for a new forum motto: Redefining rock bottom year after year.
With tonight's draw the Rapids have clinched their worst ever season by points-per-game (formerly 2001). Before this Hudson's 2018 season was the worst 34 game season ever, but just third worst overall (1996 was 2nd).

FYI the 6 full seasons under Smith's control (not counting 2017 as he took over from Hinchey midway through) has averaged 1.25 PPG, or 42.5 points a season.

I'm tired of Armas' happy-talk BS after poor performances. Travis wasn't good last night and lost his man on the first goal. He looked like a rookie in his first start. And his comments after the RSL loss were . He doesn't have to say "we stunk tonight" but ought to say stuff that isn't laughable.

Maybe we are finally getting better as an organization although it is unclear if we just went out and got better players (we did, but so did MLS), have a better coach (unclear, but I admit to liking Pablo and Robin more than offensive guys), or did our "organization" really change from Rockies to Broncos. I suppose it is a little of all three. The Av's and Nuggets recent Championships certainly nudged KSE. Like Pablo, Armas seems to be better in the second time as coach, something that generally means that can learn from mistakes and improve. Nice to have the Cup back.... R

Even if we lose out this is still a top-10 season all-time. We need 3 more points for a top-5 season all-time. We'd have to win out for our best season all-time.
