Petke canned. For the love of God, I hope they don’t go after him. Never a fan of his temperament. It always causes problems. Always impedes his coaching. That’s evident in the reasoning for his firing. Stay clear away, please!
Is that guy going to get another job after this? There have been multiple temper tantrums, right? Then this last one was pretty bad. And he doesn't have Miguel Herrera's resume.
Montreal sacked Garde and hired Cabrera today. https://www.impactmontreal.com/en/post/2019/08/21/head-coach-rémi-garde-dismissed
Montreal seems to be one of the teams that can't quite get traction. They have some decent players, a cool stadium, and passionate supporters. They always seem to be lacking key components of a team, and none of their head coaches can quite get them to the next level.

Pretty outstanding given AH's player comments. Man, Wish CC had gotten 1 more win to tie AH in that category.

BTW, Fraser is now guaranteed to end the season with the best PPG average of Rapids coaches (in an extremely small sample size, obviously). This season will finish somewhere between 13th and 17th all-time.
It is interesting to see "years we missed the playoffs". This year is ending up better than years we made the playoffs. Wish we still had that ability to enter in the Eastern conference! (and damn Hudson for such a poor start. We may have had some hope had he won at least a couple.)

So quickly glancing at some stats, @JasonMa may have better data than I do, but I think there is a compelling argument to be made that Hudson is quite possibly the worst coaching hire is MLS history...at least compared to guys that managed to coach at least one full season. Hudson's career PPG with us was 0.77. The only guy I can find that had a lower PPG for a season or more was Bora Milutinovic at 0.64. Anybody that's lower than him was either an interim coach, or was shoved out the door before the end of their first season. Even the Brad Feiedel train-wreck still managed to scrape together a 0.94 PPG.
Wait....you mean to tell me that Hudson’s pre-Rapids track record of 39w-31t-46l as gaffer for teams such as the Real Maryland Monarchs, Bahrain, and Newport County isn’t an exciting pedigree? Or that his best stints were as the Bahrain U23’s and New Zealand U23’s? Now if you told me you were bringing him in as an assistant/youth developer of some kind that’s one thing. But head coach? He’s actually part of what drove me to bigsoccer
.77 PPG is pretty horrible in MLS. I was flipping through standings year by year, from 2012 on. (2012 was when the league went to 34 games --I made that cutoff because I didn't want to look more more than that/). Looks like there were 4 years of the 8 where a team did that poorly, 5 teams total: Cinci in 2019 San Jose in 2018 Chivas and DC United in 2013 (banner year for bad clubs, TFC also did 0.85/game) TFC in 2012. Montreal was close in 2014 with 0.82/game. Great job, Huddie!
