Your list of names is not documentation. In what credible article are these players quoted? Moreover, I hope that he is not the same guy no matter who he coaches. As you know, different people and different situations require different approaches. There is no one stlye fits all. One of the great skills of good managers, teachers and coaches is their ability to vary their style to the situation!!!
Had an awful world cup in Peru. Had a very good year for UC Santa Barbara as a redshirt freshman. Remember the age before writing off.
1) What are you saying? 2) Who did Mulqueen ever pick for the national team? 2) Do you understanding documentation?
I'm not writing him off, I just don't think he's very good. You're welcome to your opinion, but I just don't think a 1.04 GAA and .705 save percentage when you're playing behind a seasoned group of defenders featuring one of the best center backs in the country warrants "a very good year." Above average? Yes. Good? Maybe. We'll see where he is in a couple of years but he still hasn't shown much to imply he has a bright future in pro soccer.
You're welcome to your opinion too. The conference coaches seemed to have a good opinion of him. 1 goal per game not necessarily a bad stat. Save percentage, given the very inconsistent statistical standard in college pressboxes, SIDs and all that, not much of a stat to rely on. I gather from your citing of stats you haven't seen him for UCSB (which is hard to do I understand). I think he has upside, and apparently the coaches who have been watching him, also do. Anyway, you chose to single him out negatively and I think he is still a decent example of Mulqueen's work.
I've had to do that several times, which always reminds me that - once started - threads are no longer 'mine.' Such is BS. Speaking of wishes and how one must be careful with them - e.g., JHW getting kicked upstairs - I recommend this short piece ... This one is even better - a real Sandon special - don't miss page two. Four short crushes ... http://www.newyorker.com/archive/2006/01/16/060116sh_shouts
