Let's get some traffic in this forum going. We have like no traffic. Only about 10 different people come on here. It is boring. The Portuguese forum has now oeverpassed us for Europe

IMO, a certain somebody who likes to post dozens of threads of links to articles - but nothing to provoke any sort of discussion - took over the board.

But I agree - we need more talk here. Supposedly, there are three other moderators - one part of our "job" is to facilitate discussion - but I only ever see Dante, now and then, in the Juve board. Come on, people. Now that the season is underway, there is no excuse for the low traffic.

I have no idea who your talking about. ;)

If you made me a moderator i could get loads of people to use these boards. Just an idea.

Send a PM to Huss. I think there's a form you have to fill out for him to apply for mod-ship. I love you guys, Jawz and Mario, but you are definitely MIA. I've been there, too, so I'm not tattling, but .... come on, need your help, guys.

Actually, I noticed you joined fairly recently. I believe you have to be a member for x number of months, too, but I'm not sure what number they settled on. Six, maybe. Still - doesn't hurt to ask him.

I would post here except the Serie A hasn't been shown in Dallas for several years and I don't have much to add because of this.

Yes, lack of TV coverage is a definite problem for interest in Serie A in this country. It'd be great if Fox Sports World would start showing games again. Otherwise, you have to have Dish (basically, it's the only reason we have Dish) or be in a big city with a large Italian population which carries the International Channel or Italian programming on a cable channel.

We should make this a sticky to urge more people to post

Since AC Fiorentina got eliminated and now that I am with the reincarnated Florentia Viola in C2 I haven't paid one little bit of attention to the Juve's and Roma's of Italian football. I think I've been quite active on the FV forum

Once We are back to A I'll contribute more to the general Italian boards...that'll be around August 2005 if all goes as planned. :)

Until then, if you'd like discussions on Poggibonsi, Gladiator and AC Savona, meet me on the FV forums sometime

    What for?

Gimme a good reason and it will be done. If it's to facilitate discussion, well we have all the other threads we can post in.

I think we're doing ok right now with the discussions. This board has never been one of the most popular ones on BigSoccer, because it's an English-language board, and therefore doesn't draw a lot of Italian-based fans (as opposed to the UK boards).

It can get better, of course, and - if I may speak for the other mods - we are always open to suggestions (ahem, on-topic and within the Terms of Service) that might get more posters involved. But I doubt having a sticky thread simply demanding more talk will pull in a lot more posters! :)

Well, too many stickies do clutter a forum. Many mods limit it to 2. At the moment, we have the extra one for the "Moderator Survey" or whatever, plus newslinks, and the prediction competition. Just continue to post interesting stuff, and I hope that will encourage people to post more.

Just something to say, the traffic has gotten higher since I started this. We were about 150 away from the Portuguese forum and now we have a couple more.
