Yeah, but even if the numbers of unattached are similar, it "feels" like more of an aberration, given increased opportunity guys get now.
There's also the CONCACAF U20 Tournament that's going on right now. If not for that tournament, we would probably see a few of those players (Hamilton, Larin, Aparicio, etc.) that would be on this squad.
For Friday's game I didn't see anything on the Sportsnet broadcast schedule, but I did notice that beIN sports will have the game.
The top bar of http://www.mlssoccer.com/schedule says both games will be on beIN Sports. http://www.beinsports.tv/tv-schedule says beIN Sports will start coverage at 4:25 P.M. on Friday. On Monday when Canada plays at 4:00 P.M., beIN Sports lists a Serie A game at 2:45 P.M., but www.flashscore.com says there are no Serie A games that day so I think beIN Sports will show the Canada game, which would also displace La Liga World and La Liga Highlight Zone.
