After Sporting's dissapointing season in the BWINLIGA they could possibly catch up to Benfica or even Overpass them Benfica was dissapointing but hopefully you lot drop points but after that game against Penafiel I doubt so
No luck in Belem. Two balls hit the woodwork. Belenenses defended their first half goal well. The attacking players need to sharpen their aim in the future or even the 2nd place might be difficult to attain. A disappointing day for Sportinguistas.
Can't you quietly take solace in your teams' 75 point lead from the rest of the pack? Let last weeks loss go, dude... As for this game, pathetic display, a deserved win by Belenenses - 'nuff said...
I think Tonel said it best: “Não fomos dignos de vestir a camisola do Sporting no jogo de hoje.” -Tonel Izmailov had a bad game and gave way to Celsinho. Abel coming off injury was invisible and was substituted by Pereirinh. If Tiui played but that didn't add to the Sporting effort as the team lacked a bit of "energy" Silas should have received a red card for the stomping of Moutinho's ankle but that didn't play part in the SCP defeat. Belenenses defended well and got a bomb from Ze Pedro that was Rui Patricio's fault. Still plenty of time to get into second place.
i HAVE BEEN SAYING THIS FOR 2 YEARS GIVE ZE PEDRO A SHOT AT THE SELECCAO HE WOULD DO WELL FOR SPORTING
Are you serious ChopSoccerDude? You're a Porto fan then go back to your Porto forums. Don't come here and try to instigate a reaction from Sporting fans. Get over the loss! If you want to debate about soccer that's one thing but to throw your little jabs in when we lose is unnecessary and pretty annoying. Worry about how Porto is going to get their asses handed to them when they play Shalke later this month. I will be on your damn forum when it happens too asking you how it felt. As far as Sporting goes they need to improve in a hurry. We are not playing consistently. We show up against the better teams but fall asleep against teams that we should beat. That's been our season this year. We need to improve so that the upcoming game against Benfica is for second place. Guimaraes will knock themselves out soon enough. Just think, with as bad of a season that we're having Benfica is only four points ahead. Looks like the only team that is playing with any sort of consistency is Porto. They also consistently lose when they play Sporting. I was there for the Supertaca and it felt so damn good to hear the Porto supporters stop chanting after Izmailov broke your hearts in Leiria. The flags went down and the whole bit. The arrogance of the Porto supporters was quieted just like two weeks ago. At least you are getting used to the feeling now.
take a chill-pill dude... all I asked was if Sporting deserve to win this game! No need to get all defensive here. I understand your frustation, being a Sporting fan and all, but I think you should be directing all your anger to your so called SAD and clueless coach. Send them e-mails, write your opinion on Sporting's "Record" online edition but somehow get your point across to them that unlike the players and the direccao you won't settle for 3rd place, playing in the UEFA Cup and in the Beer Cup final. Tell them you want to see your team play and be like Porto, you know, like Camacho, the lampiao says: "Temos que jogar a' Porto!" i.e. like the Champions! this forum needed some spice... where's the Talk-Trash thread on this forum?
I mentioned here that I was happy that you guys with that win were still in the race for 2nd place w/ the lampioes... and rather see you guys directly under us! as for the Carlsberg Cup, Sporting players have been playing like drunks all season, so they are favorites to win this Cup.
