    in denial
Do people around the world support their club teams more passionately or their country? Obviously national teams have a collection of more supporters. But would you as a fan be more excited to see your club team win a league cup or say the Champions League or another major club tournament or would you rather see your country win the World Cup.? Here in the states our tournaments and leagues don't have the prestige and cultural significant as in Europe or South America IMHO. I see the other leagues around the world as having more of cultural and historical significant. Maybe it's a push? This is more of a Sociological question than a soccer/football question.

    Norway
    Club:
    Fredrikstad FK
Both are close to impossible, but my birthtown club Fredrikstad FK winning the Champions League would for me be better than a World Cup title for Norway.

    Rio de Janeiro
    Botafogo first, Brazil second

There is no doubt for me anwering this question:

    First I´m Botafogo.

Very far from that I support Brazil.

I love much mor my club rather than Brazil.

I love soccer because of Botafogo!

I even made a simple site to express a bit of my passion: www.botafogorj.blogger.com.br

There is no bigger pleasure than watching Botafogo´s triumph!

    Regards
