Club Quake Annual Meeting 3/1: Johnny Moore Q&A Anyone interested in joining the club and/or running for a board position is invited to attend. Johnny will be there to answer questions about the Quakes. See the link below for details. http://www.clubquake.org/news_and_events.php
Um...wow thanks for the short notice! I can't go on Saturday. I didn't know about the meeting until now.
Um..yeah, I just got it tonight. It's even dated with tomorrow's date in my inbox. Strange. But people do make plans for the weekend more than two days in advance. I really want to go, but I just can't. I could have planned around it, but it's too late now.
Anyway, I move that the first item on the agenda be filling the vacancy of the secretary position. That way those of us who can't go can have good minutes to let us know what went on.
I'd like to volunteer for the position of the Groupies Welcoming Officer. I think I could do a good job welcoming our favored fans and making them comfortable. sjqf would like to volunteer as the Teen-Bopper Relations Officer. BeerKing would like to volunteer for the residual beer (non-light) consumption position.
Club Quake Annual Meeting 3/1: Johnny Moore Q&A Community outreach seems like an area I'd love to help out in but not sure if I'd have enough time (because of work and school... and the occasional partying .) But if whoever gets that title needs aid in collaborating some ideas and/or carrying them out, I'd be glad to help.
Club Quake Annual Meeting 3/1: Johnny Moore Q&A This is a bummer as I'm flying to CA tomorrow, unfortunatly not arriving at Oakland until 10pm...when the first mailer came out a couple of weeks ago I tried to change my flights but no such luck ... So y'all have a good time and think of me as I'm waiting at O'Hare for a connection while you are all having fun !! -Richard
There was a e-mail sent out a couple of weeks ago originally, the one I got yesterday was the 2nd one I received. I can't go because I have a prior commitment with the other San Jose soccer team (they scheduled first). If someone could ask a couple of questions for me please. 1) Will there (or can there) be a supporters section for the March 26th game (the e-mail I got seemed to imply that the North end would not be open for this game)? I was thinking section 125 might be used. 2) US/Wales? Thanks, Guy
And I didn't get any notice at all, e-mail, snail mail or jungle telegraph. They cashed my check, what gives?
Club Quake Annual Meeting 3/1: Johnny Moore Q&A If your member information (i.e. email) was up to date at Clubquake.org you should have received notice. We posted here to both give notice to persons such as yourself, members who for some reason did not receive notice, and others, persons never members but interested in becoming members the opportunity to attend. If your membership information is up to date and you did not get the email, let me know. I hope you can attend.
Well, my info is apparently up to date. I got the second email but not the first. I'm not sure what happened. It's kinda to late to worry about it. I just hope this is the last time this happens. This meeting is pretty big in terms of the club.
Two more things that I think need to be addressed. Since I won't be able to be at the meeting, I'm going to say it here. First, the site needs to be updated more frequently. I do not believe it's been several weeks since I was at the website. May be. But I usually check the site at least once a week. I don't recall the announcement of the meeting until I checked last night after reading this post. Second, the club needs to do postal mailings and not rely on email alone. I know this raises the issues of cost and manpower. However, when it comes to the annual meeting, I think those two factors are insignificant. What if someone did not have access to email? I paid my money to the Club. I know it's such an insignificant amount really. And I appreciate all the benefits of the club. So I'm not really too too upset with the club. I am upset that I'm missing this meeting, but I realize mistakes happen.
Club Quake Annual Meeting 3/1: Johnny Moore Q&A We'll be posting a summary of the meeting, candidates and Q& A on the website shortly after the meeting. The election will start early next week for paid members to vote. If anyone is interested in running for a position but cannot attend the meeting, please contact me and I will include you on the ballot if you are a paid member.
Hi Folks, Just another reminder to check these out. They look great, will be available for pick up at the home opener, and there is a only a limited number of them being made. Check them out on the merchandise page on www.clubquake.org.

So did anyone go to this thing? I'd like to see some reports. Didn't find anything on the Club Quake site...
Club Quake Annual Meeting 3/1: Johnny Moore Q&A It will be up soon. I took minutes at the meeting and now they have been sent to the President and Web Guy for ClubQuake for approval and posting. Just as a note though, Johnny Moore asked that the Q&A items be confidential so you will find very little details in the minutes. He shared a bunch of very interesting information and he was completely candid with us. The agreement was that we wouldn't post the info on the net. Randy Overbeck (I am running as a candidate for ClubQuake Secretary)
Club Quake Annual Meeting 3/1: Johnny Moore Q&A Look for this info later tonight. -JM Club Quake IT Chair
