Roma-#Friedkin: No delays, everything is on schedule. Tomorrow the parties will sign the preliminary contracts @ASRomaPress pic.twitter.com/VSP2JNaqTZ— John Solano (@Solano_56) February 27, 2020 A certain general of the midfield, umiliato.
So Friedkin wants Capello or Leonardo? Not sure if they would be an improvement. Fabio is 74 and Leo never really did much other than coach Milan , Inter and get suspended at PSG... he could be good for scouting Brazilian players though... Roma-Friedkin, in arrivo il preliminare. Idee Capello e Leonardo -
I'm sure we all pretty much know mire or less why Pallotta wanted out but did he ever say why he wanted to sell Roma?
Yeah he hasn't said a word since talk of the sell started. I'm assuming he will probably go according to what e said previously. First he wants to make somewhat of a profit while he can and also as he stated in the past, 'if he can't get the stadium built, he will sell (the club)'.
We are going to replace our "American Heroes" with some "Yankee Cowboys" but we are still not a top tier club and never have been so I can't wait to read the continued longing for the Rosella Sensi days where Matteo Brighi and Jeremy Menez were key pieces and we didn't perform any better than we do now despite relegated Juventus
Don't forget the transfers. I remember being happy that we pulled off Julio Baptista for 10m and got Guberti on a free transfer.
I think it's a policy we should not have totally dropped. We got some great squad players throughout the years.
We should still get relatively cheap, proven Serie A players. But it sucks if they are the highlight of the transfer window.
Simplicio is the good kind of fat signing. 100% would redo. Adriano is the wrong kind of fat signing. 0%. Wouldn’t recommend. Only 2 transfers I’ve wanted is to be rid of that Bianda garbage and bring in Papa Gomez
Americans use the term "clutch player". For such a low profile signing on top of his questionable fitness I haven't seen many players have the ability to just be in the right place at the right time. It seemed like every goal was match changing. He was a baller. Spending one of your squads top assets (Mexes) new contract on Adriano only to watch him leave for free the following year. Thanks Rosella We had 2 chances when he was at Catania and when he had to leave Ukraine. Our time is past to sign Serie A's best player.
Big money signing's are exciting but it doesn't bother me if we were to spend wisely on low budget players with the good team character. What sucked much more was not having any money in that period and selling off one key piece at a time to stay a float.
I hope our new yankee cowboys learn what our American heroes have not and that is that the easiest way to build a championship team is to build it with the talents who routinely destroy you when you face off but are otherwise undervalued.
