Haven't been following him at Nice, but if he's coming back to the USA, it must mean he's not doing well in Europe. Meh
Finished 7th last season and are currently 13th. I'm not sure I've ever watched a Ligue One match so I can't tell you anything other than that.

TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Report Inter Miami CF are looking to secure a loan deal for 22-year-old Estudiantes defensive midfielder Ivan Gomez, according to a report out of Argentina. The MLS expansion side, which has been linked with several players over the past two weeks, from Pedro to Edinson Cavani, is the focus of another TYC Sports report with Gomez possibly joining fellow young Argentines Matias Pellegrini and Julian Carranza. Gomez has moved up the Estudiantes ladder, from the U-20s to Estudiantes II and joined the Superliga squad in July, 2017 before making his first-team debut . He’s made 64 appearances overall, including 13 this season in which he scored one goal and set up two others. Despite his status as an important player, the article claims there is a lot of competition at his position and Estudiantes is usually a selling team. https://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2020...f-looking-add-young-argentine-midfielder-loan
“It’s Nico Figal- shoutout to La Familia Inter Miami” 👍🏻#InterMiamiCF pic.twitter.com/OIU8OHvSkn— Inter Miami CF (@InterMiamiCF) January 30, 2020
Figal was a top CB in the argie league for a while (not sure now). I think that his signing alongside Pellegrini and Carranza are actually my favorite signings so far, slightly underwhelmed by the transfers. Beckham spoke a big game, but seems more like it will be a long term process. however I think the squad could still shape up to be a solid one. Have to see how this Lewis Morgan dude goes.
Update on this: Inter Miami and Pizarro have agreed to personal terms. Clubs now just negotiating the terms of the buyout agreement.
