He should've been rested completely IMHO.

Mariano can’t even make the squad for this meaningless fixture, when ZZ doesn’t want you he really doesn’t want you I guess

 

Valverde should rest too. Give starter minutes to Modric at this point I don't want him starting against Valencia or Barcelona.

 

Who would you take out to put Mariano in?

 

If anyone needs rest it’s Casemiro. The only reason you start him is because ZZ plans to rest him for the next league game to avoid suspension. If ZZ plans on playing him against Valencia then he shouldn’t play in this game under any circumstances.

I wouldn’t mind seeing Militao play at CDM for this game I think he could potentially do very well. He has all the tools...

 

About time Jovic starts showing why we bought him. If he can't do against club ********ing brugge when all others are rested just to give him some playtime,he can't really complain about the same later

But it doesn’t always work like that. Like I said, he didn’t play in a long time. A player needs to play matches. This will be his first match in a while so there is a chance that he will not play well because of this.

No one really, was just noting but if I absolutely had to, probably Benz, if we have one dead rubber game this season this is surely it, not a must win, I don’t think he’d lose form or continuity by sitting out this CL game,

also note I said squad not starting lineup, doesn’t matter anyway, he’s clearly not a consideration for the coach and he’s probably been told that and to find a different team from day one , was just making an observation.

 

It sucks but Mariano knew very well what would happen to him. Same for James. Guess leaving RM is just tough. If they are not creating any problems, it's fine. Although I heard Mariano's wages are incredibly high for a player like him.

 

Is this the game for Jovic to finally start? Probably not.
