Disagree. He was a true professional leader which is something the locker room needed after the 98 disaster.
Claudio was before my time, so I never saw him at his peak or non-injured. McBride seemed to excel in the Premier League. He only scored like once every 4 games, but that seemed to be par the course for a relegation fodder club like Fulham (when he was there).
I predict he comes out of retirement during the middle of next year, announcing it in a rap video. He'll play for the Houston Dynamo and make one last attempt to break the national goalscoring record in League of Nations.
That’s kind of my point; Donovan and Sanneh had better cases for inclusion but the world press had 1) heard of Claudio and 2) saw he was captain and ergo, he’s on the XI
