Is Clint Baumstark still with DC? He signed with MLS as an emergency GK that can be shipped around to whichever team needs him. He started out with Dallas and then was with DC for the Tottenham match.
Thought I spotted him on LA's roster as a backup this past weekend. Yep, I did: http://www.mlsnet.com/games/03/tracker.php?gamename=05312003_LACOL&version=recap So far he's been with Dallas and DC. He's the wandering nomad of MLS keepers, who though employed by the league, does not work for a particular team. Projected next stop: Jersey to back up Pants Grafer when Howard leaves.
heh. I wonder if he ever unpacks his suitcase? This is somewhat off-topic but I was wondering before the season started what player has played games for the most different MLS teams. Not someone like Baumstark who has trained with different clubs, but played in actual MLS games for the teams. I couldn't come up with anyone who had played for more than 4 teams, but I would think there must be players out there who have. Raul Diaz Arce - DC, NE, TB, Colo Roy Lassiter - TB, DC, Miami, KC Ivan McKinley - TB, NE, Miami, DC
There was something about this in the last issue of SA. I don't remember who the tops ones were other than Arce. He also played with SJ
Eric Wynalda played for San Jose, Miami, New England, and Chicago. Alexi Lalas played for New England, New York, Kansas City, and Los Angeles.
