    "OUT OF THE TOP DRAWER: My vote for rookie of the year goes to Zach Kingsley of Mile High Club. Why? Because his mom wrote in to say he should win the award. Gotta love mom coming strong for her boy. Good enough for us."

    Kingsley isn't eligible, is he? Didn't he play some A-leauge ball?

    If not, he'd have to move into serious consideration.

    Thats the first column I've seen predict that Columbus will come out on top of Chicago this weekend.

    The Metros can still add some Mexican defender this late in the season.

    I'm not sure why - but I wish teams had to lock down rosters a little earlier in the season, not just days before the season ends.

    It's definitley Balboa. He played in Leon, in Mexico, has "a little bit of national team experience"(138 caps?) and can get forward, just like how he scored 5 goals for the Rapiuds the last season he played.

    The Denver Post says he has been taken off the injured reserve and activated for Saturday's game.

    Kingsley was an A-League rookie this year. He got called up mid-season by Colorado.
