Boston Globe and Frank Dell'Apa come through again...I've been reading this paper since I was 4. Or at least my Mom tells me I have been. I don't really remember.

The Rapids have played two consecutive good games.

    That's road to improvement.

Did you actually watch the game? The Rapids played that match perfectly. You're just pissed your team got worked.

OR I just have a higher threshold as to what good soccer is. One or the other.

We SUCKED. Red bull were energyless and not effective, but that doesnt mean the crapids had a good match, does it?

How many chances did you create? ONE. You scored on it. Nice little play. But thats not what most people would call having a good game.

At the end of the day, you guys will be the typical middle of the road klinda club...

I like the way you guys are organized though. Play well as a team. Manage the game well. Its classic 'team' with you guys; I just dont see anything special at all individually.

I love Mastro, great player. I like your keeper (very good shot stopper so far.) The rest I can take or leave.

True, the Rapids didn't go out and attack the goal. No, it wasn't beautiful from a creative standpoint. But it was beautiful from a tactical and game plan standpoint. You think the RB just came out flat and the Rapids tactics had nothing to do with it? The Rapids dictated the pace of the game, held possession of the ball, took the Red Bulls out of it.

If Reyna was in the middle it probably would have been different. However, he wasn't and the Rapids took NY out of the game.

I am not sure I agree, but thats a fair assessment.

You think Colorados play attributed to our play more so than me.

After watching all the other Reb Bull matches, that just wasnt the same team. Yeah no Reyna, but it was so much more than that. We just didnt have it that day. Our finishing. Our creating. Our energy were all lackluster.

For me, that was the main culprit, not Colorados tactics. Not that your tactics were bad mind you. You guys managed the match fairly well.

2 different ways of lookin at it I suppose, but if I were a Rapid fan, I would be happy with the result, but wouldnt be especially excited by the way I played.

I thought Red Bull played at 60% intensity and still had the better of the chances.

Colorado did exactly what they needed to do to win. And that's what they would have done no matter how good or bad RB played. They let the ball run for them, they kept control of it, passed it well from the back 1/3 to the mids to the forwards. Nothing flashy, not many mistakes, just basic ass kicking. And that's why RB played mediocre. They couldn't get into a rythem because CO wouldn't let them.

Then, you need to open your eyes. Beckerman and Cooke are among the league best at their positions, too.

    Agreed.. oversight.

Beckerman (while best in the league at his position is pushing it) impressed me in a couple games so far. Same with Cooke, obviously a phenominal crosser.

Whatever man. Your road record over the last like five years speaks volumes. It says that in real life, you don't win many of those.

As an objective observer, the game and both teams sucked. The Red Bulls had no ideas from the midfield and eventually seemed to just quit trying and instead kick the long ball and assume Angel should earn his money. The Rapids were as bad except for that one opportunity. They looked good against Real earlier, so I was expecting a good match. They were very close to some cynical CONCACAF bunkering for much of the game. At one point I was considering measuring the amount of time between completed passes by either team.

Seeing as how our road record is better than our home record right now, I wouldn't rely on last year's stats too heavily.

If that's what it takes to beat Arena, that's what every team will do against RBNY for the rest of the year.
