man united are reported to be lining up 11 million pounds for lazio`s argentine star cladio lopez and fergie might also try to lure psg`s brazilian playmaker ronaldinho to old trafford.

man united surely would need the former valencia marksman to partner van nistelrooy in attack but i don`t think they need ronaldinho in the midfield that already boosts the likes of scholes, becks, keane, butt, giggs and veron. thier is enough competition for places in the united midfield.

juve`s delpiero is also back in training, good news to all you juve fans out thier

If any of the talk about Becks or Giggs leaving this summer turns out to be true they just might need a midfielder. Also, Sir Alex seemed very pleased with his placement of Keane in the defense against Juve.

United won't buy somebody 29 years old. They can get somebody younger and maybe even better for the same money. Lopez hasn't really impressed since leaving Valencia has he?

Keane won't be moved permanently to the back four just yet, but it's definately in his future. It'll be interesting to see what the Grand Wizard does this off-season, I don't think Becks will leave, but who knows about Giggs? I hope he stays as well, but Sir Alex may see this as his opportunity to start over and build another dynasty....

Well, they could just give him to us, and let that be the outstanding debt they still owe us for Jaap Stam.

They would go over the 3 Non E.U. player limit, with Forlan and Veron already there.

The limit on non-EU players no longer exists.

Lopez and Rolandino would be good for Manutd as they need their strikers. Out of the two most definatly Rolandino but I doubt that its gonna happen.

Argentina produces the best individual talent in the world. However, C. Lopez is no good against real competition (see World Cup 2002)...with the lone exception being his magnificent goal against Holland in 1998.

I'm a huge Lazio fan, and I think Lopez has been overrated. He's good, but not in the category of great Serie A strikers out there right now.

If ManUtd wants to give up that much for him, more power to Lazio.

But like someone said earlier, Ferguson's looking to go young, Look at his last several huge purchases, Veron, Ferdinand, etc. all great young players.

the same could be said for Henry but how many people are going to argue his talent? he flopped in the WC and hasnt produced the stats in europe but i still say he is the best striker in the world.

I read somewhere that psg would not only be asking for the price of ronaldinho, but would want even more money for his "image rights"

Lazio may be saying this publicly but a club in their dire financial situation may change their asking price if things get tight enough. That is, unless they want to be the next Fiorentina.

    I miss those guys.

Image rights? Come on. Surely Ronaldinho is paying George Lucas royalties for looking just like Jar-Jar.

As much as I like Scholes and his game, I would take a shot at Ronaldinho. The kid has sick game and his fast pace would light up the Old Trafford crowd with Becks, Veron, and Giggs. Damn that would be a lot of speed. Not to mention Lopez who is regarded the fastest Argentine player. Speed kills.
