For clarification purposes, the game wasn't in montreal.

I'm quite sure the poster was asking what would happen in the case that a player ripped down one of their banners when they were supporting their team away from home.

    Yes,

Portland travels well, and there would have been more than a few who'd have lost it if Perry pulled that crap in front of them.

Umm....because it was too far to walk and he didn't own a Yugo?

My personal, unbiased opinion is....maybe he should be fined. But, more importantly I like it. I like the whole situation....I like the passion shown by the group who placed the banner in "hostile territory", I like the passion shown by a player (even though not actively on the pitch), and I like the passion shown by both sides now.

Is anyone familiar with the Turkish Coach (Souness- actually a Britt) putting up his team's flag in the center circle of his rivals home field after a win? Take a look here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6kQxL5dUXSs . Yes, he was fined, but it was great! I gotta say that the increased intensity of the rivalry is worth well more than the $1.60 in zip-ties which were probably destroyed.

    Great stuff......

You enjoy boring footy in Rochester? Because that is what you would get if Lilley came there.

    Lilley's killing soccer.
