Alright I usually don't post stuff about my band here, but many of you at the ESC membership drive expressed interest in the Clash tribute show we took part in that night at the Continental. Well, we got in on the CBGB's tribute this Monday night as well. Here's the deal: Joe Strummer/Clash Tribute CBGB's Lounge (downstairs in the main club, NOT the 313 Gallery) Cover- 5 bucks Doors at 11PM My band- 12:30 Okay, now I realize it's a ridiculously late time for a show to start, but here's the deal; it's the same night that the Clash and others are being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame at the Waldorf Astoria. CBGBs is trying their damndest to pull some of those attendees downtown afterwards for the party. So, I don't wanna say there's a chance the Clash may be there, but (to quote Bart Simpson), I have no other way of finishing that sentence. PM me your email addresses with questions. Mods, sorry about this but there was a good deal of interest that day, and this was just the easiest way to get in touch with everyone.
Can you put me on a list? Im definitely in and dont wanna be left out!! Ill be there right after the Mooney Suzuki show right down the street.
Well, when Johnny Rotten dies I'll be sure to play that one at the Sex Pistols tribute. But for now, you'll have to deal with London Calling, Pressure Drop, and Clash City Rockers...
clash I'll be downtown getting wild with the boys for a bachelor party. The foob getting hitched is from London, West Ham. We'll be there, or die trying. -g bugout
Re: Re: Clash Tribute at CBGB's (NMC) Shouldn't you save Pressure Drop for the Toots and the Maytals tribute?
Re: Re: Re: Clash Tribute at CBGB's (NMC) Too-shay. But as many of the Clash's hits were covers, we felt we could bend on this one. Don't think we didn't debate it, though. For those of you who couldn't (understandably) make it, you missed a great time.
