Weeks ago there was a rumor that Clark was heading to Latin America to look at some players. Has anyone heard anything of Clarks rumored trip? Is there any players from there that are in our radar?

For my part it would have seemed to make good business sence to have acquired a fairly well known player from that area early on to help sell season tickets. That is to say it might have helped marginaly. I hope we are still looking down there. We are kind of getting down to the wire. Its already mid-february.

I think 3rd degree reported he has already gone down there (Costa Rica and Brazil I think). So hopefully, he spotted someone he can sign. Like a forward that can score, a midfielder that can pass, or an outside back that can defend and attack down the wing.

A forward that could match up with Nhleko would suit just fine. A finisher that can take advantage of the chances created by the South African's passing.

I would be happy if we got a defensive midielder like Vinnie Jones. Someone who isn't afraid to grab the other player to make them screw. Go to www.vinniejones.co.uk and look up some of football pictures to see what I'm talking about.

I thought 3rd Degree reported that Clarke found on his SA trip a central defender who could come in as a transitional international, but the acquisition of Gibbs made it unnecessary.

His origional target was a TI central defender and was looking at one specifically in Costa Rica. He also went to Argentina. And yes Gibbs made this player no longer a need.

He also looked for younger'ish players at other positions, and found several. When I last talked to Colin the plan was to take several weeks to look at current team. Then bring in one or two of these players some time in Spain.

Now if only Deering had done this to say...Dema, I'm sure we wouldn't have to worry about little leg breakers running around in the future.
