No surprises here. Congratulations to Rico and Eddie. I fully expect to see both of them contribute in Athens next summer.

You've gotta think Myernick is looking hard at a keeper and central defender as 2 of 3 the over-23 players. I hope it's not Walker and Pope as Metro will be devastated by losing 4 starters. Walker's definitely a long-shot (expect to see Howard or Friedel) but a healthy Pope is a likely choice (either him or Bocanegra).

Magee's got to be disappointed, not being in this camp for either the U-23s or even the U-20s. Have Eskandarian and Testo really done more than Magee? Or the forwards with the U-20s in camp (incl. Chad Barrett, Sergio Flores, Corey Ashe)...

Well he did play with the U-20's in UAE, but didn't get too much playing time. I think the availability of Conor Casey probably pushed Magee off the roster. Esky and Testo are odd choices, I agree, but Donovan, Johnson, Buddle, and Casey will be the ones to see the field in qualifying. That's not a bad foursome.

In any case I'd be more than happy to have Magee with Metro all season long. We're going to lose enough guys to WCQs and the Olympics as it is.

Interesting to see former Metros Countess and Davis on the squad, too. I always thought Davis had a bright future on the left side of the national team.
