Agree. We have nobody in the middle to control the ball and link-up play. Delaney next to Bellingham is is just not necessary as he is strictly a defensive minded midfielder that offers nothing else. Either Dahoud or Brandt should be playing next to either of them. Pathetic.
Our football doesn't look too bad but Lazio had the few more dangerous situations that needed last ditch saves. I liked Morey's energy and technical abilities at the start of the game. Not sure why he's only used when we have injury issues.
It's an end to end game and we are building down the flanks. Lazio have had the better chances, but playing Bellingham is not as good as Dahoud, but a massive step up from Witsel
Raphael scores after a good move. Guerriero is so important and so good. Reus has had a good game too. You have to beat what's in front of you and we are doing that, but this level performance won't get us far in the knock out stages.
Raphael has come off for Schulz, we could do with bringing on Dahoud for more control and Sancho could come on too. Edit We really need a change. Lazio are starting to have far more chances. On the balance of chances we are very lucky to be winning.
Schulz gave away a penalty. Immobile scores. Favre is an idiot. We have been losing control of this game for a while and the Lazio chances were building up. This level performance won't cut it.
I think it was a dumb challenge but from the few replays it looked like a clear dive after Schulz had already played the ball. And the ref for some reason changed his initial decision.

I was wondering about the message over the ear phones because it couldn't have been VAR. If it was the assistant ref on the sidelines when the main ref had the best view only a few meters away, then that is just stupid.

Favre is an idiot.. and so was that ref. I hate it when refs try to steal the show. Favre was playing for a draw but he would look like a clown if we lose in Russia and Lazio take first place. But I guess if the goal is last 16, then well played. :/
