You've already lost. If we are out, both Lahmfan and Paolo to get 1 week ban for being solely responsible for their loss. Not because the other team outplayed because that's not possible, but because of you two. Hang yout head in shame if it happens.
No way are we going to be held scoreless two games in a row. I know it happened two years ago against Madrid but I don't see that being repeated here. We are good for at least one goal at home, it's just a matter of keeping a clean sheet which I'm not too confident about.
Nice pic, Paolo. Bayern storm Atleti the first 15 minutes. One Atleti player gets sent off in match. Bayern 3 - 1. Mia San Mia.
I had a bummer morning. I guess I was dreaming of this match and I was watching it live at home. It was extremely vivid and real. The game was still early and it was already 1-1. We were losing steam and hope. Then suddenly we had a series of pressures vs athletico for about 5-10 mins later in the game. I mean we were sending crosses in the box, we had bodies flying in, we hit the post several times, oblak made one save after another, we were pouncing on rebounds. It was unrelenting pressure for that time frame and the crowd was in total uproar chanting Bayern Bayern. Nothing was going in, until finally we had a rebound that was struck inside a lot of bodies in the box and deflected itself in. The stadium was on its head and we were up 2-1.... Shortly after atletico started panicking and they were losing balls in dangerous areas and before we know it we capitalised on them with 3-1 score. It remained this score for the rest of the game until atletico were forced to throw everyone forward and when they couldn't capitalise on their offense. We rushed at them in the dying minutes with advantageous numbers and finished the game off 4-1. The whistle blew right after. I woke up cheering then quickly realised it was just a dream...........:/ Ugh.....
The referee is a Turkish guy i think. Should be much less lenient on the crazy physicality from Atleti. What's the chance that Boateng starts on Tuesday? Mt crystal ball says Pep will pick this starting line-up: ---------------Neuer--------------- Lahm---Martinez---Boateng---Alaba -------------Alonso------------------- Coman---Mueller---Vidal---Costa --------------Lewandowski-------------
According to the FCB official site Frank Ribery completed team training today and the team was especially focused on set-pieces and shooting.
I am already nervous for this match. Godin is back, Boateng and Ribery are questionable. Who knows what kind of team selection we will see. It wont be the end of the world if Atleti score a goal, but we can't afford the kind of meltdown we had against Juve. I think the pattern will follow what we saw in Madrid. They will come out and press hard and high up the pitch for the first 15-20 minutes. After that they will settle into a shell. Let's hope we avoid conceding during that period. If so then we will have the upper hand.
Didn't think you were! But yeah, first time I've merged threads in like 8 years haha #highlightofmymonday
We really blew it not scoring when he was missing, their defense should be better this time around. Then again, we will have Muller, hopefully a better XI and at home, so our offense should also be better.
"Josep Guardiola, Bayern coach We mustn't think about how many goals we must score. We need think first about defending well and controlling the game. We want possession and we want goals. Atleti defend very well, but they are also going good up front. It is complicated to play a team like them. They know each other so very well. We will create chances, if perhaps not too many. It will be my last game in the Champions League here in Munich and I have always been treated absolutely wonderfully. In Germany you play a little differently, and I tried to adapt some things. I have learned a lot here. We have achieved a lot during my time here, but it is always really difficult to make the final of this competition." http://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsle...#guardiola+aiming+break+through+atletico+wall "*** 19:22: Ribéry in FCB squad *** Guardiola confirmed once more that Franck Ribéry completed the full squad programme, and that he is fit for the head-to-head with Atlético. “One more option for us,” declared the Catalan, who declined to reveal his plans for the starting line-up. *** 18:07: Atlético brimming with confidence *** The Atlético press conference is over – and the Spaniards are nothing if not confident. Coach Simeone said: “I want to win tomorrow and reach the final. Nothing less! We’ll be true to ourselves and try and impose our style on the match.” *** 18:05: Simeone: Godin to play *** Diego Simeone says he will field fit-again defensive organiser Diego Godin: “His presence is important for us. Luckily, we have four centre-backs available for tomorrow, so we have plenty of options.” http://www.fcbayernmunich.com/us/news/news/2016/fcb-eve-of-atletico-return-live-020516.php
