I hope so. I love penalties. I was at the last League Cup Final which went to penalites. When Raith Rovers beat Celtic in 94. Being a Kirkcaldy boy, I went along and supported Raith (I wouldn't do that now, you'd find me in the Celtic end before the Raith end now!) Were you there Fraser? Or any other Celtic supporters?
i'd rather not talk about that final. i had a poor run of finals at hampden for a while. although the last one i was at was martin o'neill's last match which happened to be against united in the scottish cup final 3 years ago.
speaking of pens. after the game against united on wednesday night we got back to the pub in time to see firstly everton, and then spurs losing out on pens in the UEFA. fun night that was.
I was at that one too actually. I won some competition to go and write a report on the match. I was sitting a couple of seats away from George Galloway.
lol. You do have to laugh at how horendously shite English teams are at penalties. GOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
aye. i got my mate a ticket for the game as he was up from newcastle. he's a season ticket holder at st james's and took great delight in watching jenas choke with the pen that could have sent spurs through.
2-1 HT in extra time dare i say it but united are looking pretty comfortable at the minute. nice replay of flood stripping ferguson of the ball in midfield for united's 2nd goal.
boyd's scores again with 7mins to go in extra time. 2-2 united defence at 6's and 7's from a long throw in. why didn't kenneth deal with it? he seemed to duck as if he got a shout from zaluska. it's all to play for now.
burke off - whittaker on commentator says burke's been decent. i thought kalvenes has had him in his back pocket for almost all of the game.
hunt has taken over the pens for united since we signed barry robson and he's off injured. so that's a good start then. pens to be taken in front of the united fans.
