    Goddamnit. He was our single bright spot this year. I really liked this guy.

    That's awful. Dernell was "the next Mo Vaughn" forever in the Red Sox' system, and he finally broke through to the majors last year.

    Just as it seemed he was poised to become a ML regular.

    Tragic.
