Kidding aside, I hope the hardcore Chivas USA supporters support a local lower level team while they are waiting for the LA2 reboot, such as OC Blues. They could use a boost and you still get a rivalry with Galaxy II. Would be a nice way to set the stage for OC being LA2's farm team as well

In Chivas's defense, they were playing the Quakes.

Ironically, the only fans at the game visible on TV were the Quakes fans who made their way down to LA.

Well Chivas USA it was a good ride. Well 2007-2009 was good at least.

Well to be fair their supporters groups were down the south end of the stadium. And this was at the end of the game. But yeah the crowd was rather sparse...

Chivas USA was a fun team to watch. A lot of good players have gone through that club and its sad to see them go.

Yeah but it's now official. MLS made the official announcement of what most of us already knew this morning. I'm sure it still stings for Chivas fans despite it not being a shock.

Condolences. Not even close to being the worst team in the league. This is a pretty crappy situation for you guys. Hang in there.

Especially since going worst to first in MLS and vice versa in a year or two is not uncommon. I.E. Quakes Supporters Shield winners in 2012 to their disaster season this year. Its not far fetched that they couldn't have done better next year had they kept the team itact.

God knows they finished strong when they had some real motivation to win (ie: they were all on tryout). If they'd had a dedicated ownership they probably could have turned it around on field.

The big question mark was always off field with Chivas USA.

    Good luck, guys.

We have had it rough in Chicago the last few years, but not 1/10 as you guys.

    You really deserve better.

What will be the fate of this sub-Forum, Prime?

To be moved, archived or totally removed? ;)

I'm pushing for archive for now. I'm not sure it makes sense to push this chivas forum into MLS expansion. What do you think?

Is there a "Defunct Teams" forum? ;)

Is this where we're supposed to post the "Let it Go" song again?

At this point there should probably be a separate LA2 forum but with Chivas archive seems the best fate. I mean this board was pretty dead before the team was leaked to be on the rocks and it'll probably be dead entirely within a week or two as people lose interest in a team that no longer exists.

Maybe a new LA 2017 expansion forum with a Chivas USA sub forum. What do you think? I'll run it by the SuperMods.

Seems reasonable. Basically make Chivas an "off topic" portion of that board.
