Christopher Saul signs with Umeå FC?

    Well, this might turn into one of the shortest threads on here :D The Umeå director of sports denies signing Saul. Here's his comment: "I saw the news, but I have no idea where it came from. It's not correct. We're happy with our squad and it has been finalized."

    Maybe it's just that he's signed for another club in Umeå than Umeå FC?

    It's apparantly Ytterhogdal he has signed with, so reporting on Saul will continue in that thread.

    If you're looking for an American who played in Sweden who wants to start a lower-division pro club in Maryland, you had, perhaps, at least consider calling Chris Saul. There is probably a shorter way to say that.

    The American Soccer League announced earlier this month that Saul's club, IFK Maryland, will be part of the professional circuit's expansion to 16 teams next spring. The Maryland team will compete on a second- or third-division level with a collection of squads that spans from Florida to New England.
