Isn't just about everything more important than whatever match in the Scottish league not featuring a Rangers-Celtic showdown?
Aberdeen win 2-1 tonight, 5-3 on aggregate, to advance to the group stage of whatever this competition is. Ramirez played, but Hedges scored both goals. I don't know much else.

They will play Qarabağ (AZE) in the playoffs. There are quite a few big teams in this round, like Feyenoord, Anderlecht, Roma, and Tottenham.
Yeah, I guess you could call that an assist. You know he meant to take that out of the air and shoot, but he didn't have that kind of space or time and another teammate cleaned up after him. Nice finish.

Conference league. I wonder if the revenue generated for the clubs in the third division of the European tournaments makes traveling to places like Baku worth it. The physical impact on the players of the traveling long distances and increased game time doesn't seem to have any impact on the decision making of UEFA and its member club owners. Clubs like Aberdeen don't have any real squad depth to deal with frequent mid-week European games, and it might start having a real impact on league standing. I wonder if teams have the option of declining the invitation to participate in this ridiculous tournament?
Bet they were wishing they had the opportunity to decline the invite at this point. If I knew how to embed a tweet I’d post a tweet about how they lost 1-0 and played on a cow pasture leading to a major injury to a starter. Lovely for Aberdeen.
A Group stage participation in the Conference League is awarded a base fee of €2,940,000. (around $3.4 million). A victory in the group = €500k and a draw €166k. Each group winner earns €650k and each runner-up €325k

That's a goal every 174 minutes (per Soccerway), compared to his career average of a goal every 158 minutes in USL, NASL, MLS, and Scotland. So he's kind of keeping up his rate.
