Worth noting, it wasn't a response to a direct question on that topic, he brought that up on his own.
Really important win for Milan over Roma yesterday without Pulisic. The top of the table is really crowded!!! Even Juve and McKennie in 6th are only 4 points out. [Milan had a thin substitutes bench yesterday. Lots of questions in the media about the size/depth of their squad.] Fiorentina in the relegation zone!!! Who had that on their bingo card after 10 games? 0 wins.
Absolutely nothing, that's my point. He was asked for a description of a goal, and nobody would have noted it if he'd just given a basic description. If he'd been asked that as a question, sure. But he went out of his way to bring it up himself.
If he describes that relationship as a connection, how would he describe the nature of the relationship between he and Tillman? Siamese dream?
I mean with respect to Tillman it's a fair and open question. It's not like I don't have concerns about that, just pointing out Balogun comments on the Pulisic/Balogun link. I think of the three 'relationships' it's Pulisic/Tillman that raises the largest issue for me.
He said it unprompted, so literally 100 other things. You know your soccer, you really do. But many posters have their one bugaboo that lead them off into crazy land. Like, there’s the guy who thinks Wes is trash and never misses a chance to say so. You’re getting to that level with Pulisic.
Seriously. Pulisic got hurt at the last USMNT camp and hasn't played since. Is Milan not playing Pulisic in important games for the past month to keep him from going to USMNT camp? Is it some bizarre conspiracy to damage the USMNT? No. He had a hamstring injury, and they're easing him back in slowly. Even if he plays against Parma this week, is it understandable that Milan doesn't want him to then fly to the US and play in two friendly games in a week with the USMNT? YES!! For Pete's sake........................ I don't expect Johnny or Tillman at USMNT camp either, even though both of them are back. There's a difference between being back and being 100%.
This is where Poch and ACM make a deal to release him with a strict workload agreement. Total minutes restrictions and such but there's not a lot of time for him to work with other new players even if he doesn't go full out.
.................shrug. We're in consultation with the AC Milan doctors. I'm sure we're also talking to Pulisic about how he's feeling. This is a hamstring, and he has a history of lingering hamstring issues. Pulisic hasn't played a game since the last USMNT window. Even if he makes it back on the bench this weekend against Parma, they're not going to want him to be pushed in any way. Of all the players that aren't at the camp, Pulisic is the one we should be the least angry about. Tillman played in the Champions League against Benfica midweek. Richards went 90 this past weekend against Brentford. Johnny was on the bench last weekend in La Liga and midweek in the Champions League. Yet they're not called up due to injury? Pulisic wasn't back when Pochettino had to put this squad list together. Uncertainty with him and Weah. I don't have any issue with them not being listed. McKennie not being in camp makes no sense whatsoever to me. Does Jonathan David not need to get acquainted with the new Juve manager? He was called up by Canada. Juve had lots of international callups in this window. So why did McKennie need to stay at home? Somethings fishy there.
In the first half, he served as Modric's bodyguard and was a frequent filter in front of the defense. In the second half, he quickly faded from the game, and Parma dominated his area without too many problems. (From 71', Pulisic 5: he has a valuable excuse, having only had two training sessions with the team, but the goal he missed at the end he still cries out for revenge.) Puli's Ultimate 5 a side US Team! Guzan Gooch Adams McKennie Pulisic https://www.si.com/soccer/christian...rd-donovan-ultimate-usmnt-side?utm_source=gol
I mean Tim Howard is out only goalie to score in the premier league from his own box. How does he pick T-Rex Guzan? You need guys with skill in tight places so Tab Ramos probably should be there and you need a precise finisher like Pepi. Adams to run for days and our center backs seem too oafish for 5 a side to me so I might go with someone like Mastroeni back there with Adams to help play for 2. Howard Adams Tab Pulisic Pepi
Gooch is an idiotic inclusion IMO. But what do I know. Now Adams / McKennie / CP... that's more like it.
Note that he picked this group of his friends (also absent from camp) while skipping camp leading into a World Cup.
