[Nicolo Schira] Luka Modrić has reportedly decided to retire from professional football after the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The midfielder was deeply disappointed by AC Milan missing out on European competitions, and after several days of reflection, decided it was time to conclude his historic career Ac Milan causing guys to retire from how much they suck
“Gerry Cardinale has imposed his choice over Zlatan Ibrahimović’s and has definitively ended the pursuit of Arne Slot. “Oliver Glasner now the frontrunner to become AC Milan’s new head coach. The deal is expected to be finalised shortly.”
Sad to think we may have gotten one more season of Luka if Milan had just done even an average job to close out the season. It really is unacceptable that they missed CL again. The last 3 months of the season were unwatchable, you could sense the dysfunction come across the screen. Even then, I still cannot quite fathom how they choked that hard. And what perplexes me about milan over the past few seasons is how bad they suck at home. The legendary San Siro seems to make them more afraid than the away side. As mentioned before, Pulisic deserves blame. But him disappearing for the last 4 months of the season should not have been a death blow, other players did not step up and recruitment has been piss poor. And, the game has passed Allegri by.
Milan's last game reminded me of the USMNT's last WC qualifying game for 2018 against a very weak opponent, T&T. All the US needed was a tie and 1 point to advance to the WC 2018, yet they failed horribly, just like Milan did to quality for the UCL.
Arne vs. Glasner is a win-win, or lose-lose, but as long as Ibra has a say it's lose-lose-lose-lose-lose

Yes, kind of odd how much they are relying on him. What exactly are his qualifications for his current role?
Cardinale hated Maldini but loves ibrahimovic. Maldini must be an even bigger self righteous douche. The ultras really despised him lol
Zlatan loves Zlatan. Only one smarter than Zlatan is Zlatan. That would be justification for qualifications.
So Glasner has given complete priority to Milan and has turned down other jobs including Feyenoord. Cardinale wants Glasner but wants a sporting director first
Milan is below Zlatan. Zlatan should never have gone to Milan. Zlatan should only have gone to Zlatan FC, the one hundred times champions of Serie Zlatan.
Glanser has coached BL1 side Wolfsburg to EL qualification in season 1; the EL elimination round & CL qualification in Season 2BL1 side Eintracht Frankfurt to the EL title and CL qualification in season 1; the CL last 16 and the Pokal final in season 2EPL side Palace to a Top 10 finish (after taking over in the relegation zone in February) in season 1; the FA Cup title in season 2; the Super Cup and the Conference League title in season 3 Feyenoord thinking hey have anything to offer a guy with that record is delusional. Who do they think they are, Ajax?
Small update, apparently Zlatan has been cut out of decision making. Gerry Cardinale is relying on Massimo Calvelli whose the acting CEO (but doesn't want job full time) who pushed for Rangnick and Glasner combo.
