This club has underachieved ever since Zlatan took on a key role. He has undermined every manager behind the scenes. The players see this. It's constant mixed messages coming from the top.
He was always a very centric player... as in self-centered. Those types rarely make good 'board member' types. He very well could be corrosive in a leadership position. Just my two cents.
Pulisic enters at 76’, and he provides a vital assist on Milan’s second goal, now 1-2 Milan in the closing minutes of the match. Edit: Milan survive 10’(!) of second-half stoppage time to prevail 1-2.
Nice assist from Pulisic, he took a few corners that were well-delivered I thought, and did well to help kill the game. Had good control in his 25 min. Only bad news is the goal drought continues, he had a really nice breakaway in the dying moments that he was the main creator of, but the angle was just too sharp.
I know he only played 20 minutes or so today, but he looked improved over the past few games which is a good sign. Hopefully he can get all this out of his head and be able to focus on this game going forward. In my opinion an assist is better than a goal in most cases today he was in the right place the right time made the perfect assist.
I have never been worried because every time I have watched him in 2026, he looked OK to pretty good. I never saw him suck.
I’m not worried either, but he definitely sucked in a game or two I’ve watched. But yes, I think he’s been alright/serviceable in most games. Not horrible, and he did contribute to the overall cause. Today he did well.
I don't blame Zlatan for taking the money and the title. It's the moron that brought him into Milan as an director/executive.
I'm worried. I think he was in the best overall form of his club career as the 2025 year ended... then some knocks and some bad luck dried up his scoring sheet run... At the start of this poor run he was still playing relatively well... but as the drought continued he and the O as a whole... just became pathetic. This was a decent cameo in a huge result but we have not seen him be a true game-changer for his club in nearly half a year and it's been quite a bit longer since he dominated for the USMNT. It's time for him to step up and earn being the face of men's soccer in this country... and there is no better time/place to do it than a WC on home soil. Get er f'in done.
Yeah, like it or not, Pulisic is still the face of US Soccer, based on the ads I recently saw. But there’s one especially, that had him…but also Dest and Jedi! This was a Michelob Ultra ad. I think I prefer this to the other epic minutes long ad with Timothee Chalamet, Yamal and Bellingham. (But this is still better than the Lay’s ad with Beckham and Steve Carrell?!)

They’re still in the CL even if they tie and Roma, Juventus, and Como win. Seria A Tiebreakers in Priority Are: Points H2H H2H goal differential Table goal differential Table goals Coin flip In the above scenario, Milan, Juventus, and Como are tied on points. If multiple teams are tied on points then it’s based on how many points each has in each of their H2H games. Anyways, Milan would finish 5th because Juventus has the worst head to head record against Milan and Como combined. Lucky for Milan it doesn’t go straight to table GD since it’s lower than the other 3 teams. Let’s hope Milan and Juventus win, and Roma or Como lose. No complexity needed.
Hoping for a brace giving him a nice round 10 goal figure and finishing as a top scorer for the season would be a real boon. But he just needs to hit the net one time. As others noted his finish on the breakaway yesterday was actually very good despite the wide angle, and almost got by the keeper.
Bigger issue seems to be Furlani. Ibra talks a lot and says stupid stuff (always has), but Furlani is a penny pincher. Does sound like Milan is doing a full rebuild of front office. Tare is leaving. I don't think he did poorly this past year, but he was never Red Bird's guy (believe he was always Furlani's choice). Sounds like they'll go Tony D'Amico (who was Cardinale's original favorite) or poach Vikto Bezhani from Milan's sister club Toulouse. Either way, Milan's failure to get a striker since Giroud left is beyond incompetent. As for Allegri leaving? I'm conflicted. There are some things that are not his fault. The previously mentioned striker issue, Rafa/Puli never finding form after their injuries, and Saelemaker's form cratering since new year (big thing Milan fans seem to not talk about) being chief. However, when Gabbia got hurt he could never figure out how to fix the backline. I think he did a rather poor job with squad rotation (WAY too reliant on Rabiot and Modric), and it became very clear at least 3 months ago that Milan should have transitioned to a 343 or 433 as all attacking output just died in 2026.
All great points, and the games have just been downright fugly. A chore to watch. That is on Allegri, as it was the same expeirence watching Wes at Juve during Allegri's last season. He'll get you top 4, but it will be playing ugly football. I guess it depends how much the fans will tolerate that.
