    International play is a snapshot.

Club play is a far larger sample size with consistent variables.

If you have two players playing weekly at a similar club level, why the hell would you put more stock in performance if one plays for France and the other plays for New Zealand as an example?

Do you also do that with NBA players? Luka Doncic can’t win much with Slovenia so a random USA Olympic team member is better?

Not anymore lol, they got relegated to League B and face the Murderer's Row of Ireland, Greece, and Finland this time through.

Foden is one of the best attacking midfield players in the world. Now, how much of this is due to his setup at City? Probably some! But could you swap in CP for Foden at City and not lose anything? Think the answer is a clear no. And that has nothing to do with the punditry of Gary Neville or Micah Richards.

Now, as to your international point... there's no question Foden has been disappointing for England. But this can happen to lots of incredible talents when in a particular international situation, whether regarding management or the players around them. There were times when Messi, certainly by his absurd Barca standards, really struggled with Argentina. And England in particular, how many times have we seen them misuse incredible talent? Were you around to see what they did to the likes of Lampard, Gerrard, Scholes? 3 of the most incredibly talented midfielders in the past 30-40 years, and for England they've all at times in their international career looked poor.

As much as I'm a fan of Pulisic, can anyone say he's clearly the best player in Concacaf? Different positions and demands on them as players, but I'm not prepared to say he's the best.

I don't think you can even say he's the best winger in Concacaf.

He's probably the best player for his national team in Concacaf though.

Bailey? Who is better that I’m forgetting. Edit - oh you mean Davies as winger probably. I personally think he’s a better player than Bailey.

In my opinion you should consider both the player's record for club and country.

If defense is the same tactically, this could be a heavy home defeat.
    Then derby weekend??

Yeah. They should focus on the derby. That's the real important one this week. ;)

No, I mean Bailey. He's had higher peaks than Pulisic in both the Bundesliga and the Premier League.

Pulisic blows him away with national team play, but Bailey's largely been the better club player. Close though, reasonable minds can differ, which is why I don't think you can say he's even the no-doubt best winger in Concacaf, much less the best player.

Yeah - even with Baileys excellent season last year I still think Pulisic is the better player although better player might not always translate to more effective based on a lot of variables.

Hope he shows up big in champions league this year. Last year think he had 0g/0a

He had 1g and 0a in in 442 minutes in the CL last season. Not good numbers for a player of his quality.

Thanks for the correction. I also remember leao wasting a lot of plays with unnecessary dribbles.

Hoping for better from both starting today!

Foden lacks the pointy elf DNA but his are huge compared to his head size.

Pulisic with another one for Milan, this one an outstanding solo effort 4 minutes into the Champions League against favored Liverpool.

Pulisic is crafting quite a legacy at Milan.

    Milan got hammered today

Looking like that big win against Venezia might be a fluke

Inter is going to destroy them this weekend

He ws OK. Liverpool had more of the ball. Pulisic looked good on the attack but Milan weren't on the attack much
