I thought Liverpool were better under Phil Thompson.

    Eh,eh,eh! Calm down, calm down!

I was making a serious comment! I prefer Thompson's Liverpool!

And I support all English teams in Europe (except the filthy Arse...and mostly ManUre) and genuinely wanted Liverpool (and expected) to win. I was shocked to turn on my TV and see Basle 2-0, then 3-0 up after 29minutes. And I fully expected Liverpool to win it in the second half, using the logic that 'If Basle can score three in half-an-hour, Liverpool can score four in three quarters.'

And I know you've got to be in it to win it but being knocked out by a Swiss team managed by Christian Gross (who didn't laugh at Spurs when he was manager?) is pretty bloody poor.

Anyway, best of luck in Europe and the League, hopefully beating ManU (by one goal, scored by Murphy), and those evil gunners. The only team I don't want you to beat is Spurs (naturally).

    Peace out.

Theoretically we were knocked out by Valencia, from whom we could not take any points.
