Yup, this thread is for Christain love. The dude that banged our drum with us and came to our functions and showed passion for the team and the Barra. Who's got a pic of him in Jersey with us?

    +1

Go discuss the nuances of the trade on the other thread. This is where we all get pumped up to welcome back a true hero for the shirt.

Welcome back Christian. Who needs Guerrero? Wing play is overrated. ;)

I don't think I'm going back to the thread on the main board. Too much whining about what we gave up, too much doubting of the abilities of a guy who was basically our best player for 3+ years. I'm going to miss Ivan - he's a heckuva a player, but come on...with Christian? 1 MLS Cup and 2 Supporters' Shields. Without Christian? No playoffs, despite Guerrero's nice play on the left flank. So, yeah, I'm psyched he's back.

    Ew.

Yeah, I'm pretty psyched that we're getting back a well-seasoned player that knows our club, knows MLS, and has proven that he can perform. Welcome home, Gomito!

I completely agree....I was surprised to hear so many negative comments about this on the main thread. I first heard about Gomito's return on the radio yesterday and I got goosebumps and a rush of adrenaline when I heard his name - I couldn't keep still! Although I've never seen him play live like many of you, I know what he did for the team - and what the team achieved during his time there. I will miss Ivan as many will, but this happens all the time everywhere - players get traded/drafted/sold - and of course, it sucks, but we have to move on. Our support must be there 200% of the time, because it is *WE* who represent the team. Bienvenido a tu casa, Christian!!!! :D

Will he play right in Gallardo's now vacant spot?

It was always Christian's spot. Gallardo was just keeping it warm for him. :D
