I absolutely agree with Miguel Herrera. Mexico have great hospitals and after what they did for Salvador Cabanas? He would still be alive. http://www.eluniverso.com/deportes/...a-seguido-mexico-estaria-vivo-dice-dt-america
Im still have doubts about this official news, like you said ,what about his wifes claims ,all of the sudden you dont hear about this fact ,but you had pele, one of his teammates claiming he had great care in hospital ? Dont want to speculate but 5 officials from el jaish accopanied his wife ,hmm..then chiriroba also making his own claims.too much money riding on qatar bid for the wc,so im going to still be skeptical about anything they say.his wife first reported that they gave him pills for the pain when they should have been in the operating table.chucho wouldnt die in Ecuador or Mexico ,thats just my feeling about this.unfortunately we'l never know the thruth.
Qatar doesn't need to bid...they have the WC already. The only thing that will change this situation is a massive investigation by FIFA into the bidding process that Qatar won, and some serious vote switching by member nations. Considering the turmoil in Brazil where their infrastructure is in shambles, people aren't getting adequate health services, no widespread access to quality public education, and a backward system of rail/road, and there's documented concerns from all levels about security, I'm reasonably sure Qatar will still pass the test. I'm actually hoping it gets pushed to the winter, although it's a very unorthodox move. I want to know more about what the second autopsy done in Ecuador will have as conclusions because regional specialists and Ecuadorian doctors plus government observers in the Health Ministry are behind it, and the micro(forgot the rest of the name) which is a chemical-based test that is said to give definitive results in three weeks from the Hospital Metroplitano (best in the city).
yea ,i know the already have the wc,i was writing fast, but you know what im trying to say, this stinks to high heaven.
This whole thing sounds fishy and crazy, its the 21 century and the cause of death is still not known? Who was that player that collapsed in England and he's still alive? Chucho went to the hospital and they gave him a Pill and sent him home? This is nowhere near humorous but LOL. FVVVCK Pele. He wasn't there! STFU!! I believe Chucho's Wife above all. If she says no doctor was there, none were there, no reason to lie. And Qatar has everything to lose. Countries are already bitching about it. and the whole Chiriboga statement? Chucho would have died anyways? OMG. hmmmmmmmm.. New nickname. Luis "PASA Billette" Chiriboga. We'll never know!!!
exactly, thats what i meant about the 5 hombres del maletin arriving in ecuador, and FFF pele too, thats what i was trying to say politely.Shite even the NYT wrote about Qatars shady news about the death,Im with you on this AF.and that dirty rat chiriroba has no credibilty with me so FF him too.
I'm not buying this "official" news . So what about the stomach pains, he just happened to have a cardiac arrest the same day his appendix burst?
The news is really fishy. He might have had that problem with his heart, but the main reason it triggered was because of Appendix Burst. That burst probably made the heart condition come into play after the burst. If he would have been helped in time to remove the appendix, he wouldn't have had that heart attack at all. I still cannot believe that you detect a heart problem only after you die?! I've never heard of that! There are ways to detect any heart condition if you're checked. Period. FEF probably got a lot of $$$$$$$$$$ for that fake ass autopsy by Qatar. They are LOADED and what ever they paid the FEF must be chump change for them. If you see a new stadium, the Deportivo Quito players actually getting paid on time, or new HD cameras soon, you'll know where the money came from. ******** Pele too. Dude doesn't even know what he is taking about.
My son was born with a congenital heart defect and we have a cardiologist we see every six months at NY Presbyterian Hospital which is one of the top cardiology centers in the nation. I am going to ask her about this mysterious heart illness that is not detectable by any technology until after death. Chiriboga, Maldonado and the FEF have been way too accepting of this very unusual and sudden death. Their messages seemed way too prepared and unquestioning. There is a lot of money in Qatar and investment in their league and the World Cup, that I would not be shocked if they paid a few million for the FEF to keep their mouths shut.
Frickson Erazo made some very poignant comments today toward fans and the immediate sympathy that's been flooding in- alluding to racism by Ecuadorian media and fans especially from the failure of the 2010 WCQ campaign and the Copa America...along the lines of their hypocrisy and whatnot. It was bad enough that Chucho and other players deactivated his twitter for a bit. Of course, he quickly made the statement and continued on a positive note. It struck me immediately- this is the reason why I went to Ecuador in 2011 was to study these issues for my masters research (subsequently meeting Chucho along the way) and how Afro-Ecuadorian players conceptualized themselves as members of a nation that hasn't fully given their communities a space to express their totality of culture and society. It's a complex and systemic network of contradictions. I saw it all and lived those moments alongside our ballers and their families. But I'll leave it at this: the passing of Chucho gives the country a golden opportunity to look at our society through a very critical lens (positive goals, but honestly recognizing negatives): Afro-Ecuadorians are marginalized, disproportionately impoverished, and chronically undereducated compared to other sectors of the country. Their social mobility potential is way lower than most anybody else- except for the select few artists and athletes and even tinier cadre of professionals. His career made him a social/national contradiction: undereducated, belonging to a racial underclass, but enjoying celebrity status and financial wealth, but also subject to OUR temperaments. He went through the entire spectrum of public opinion: good-to-bad, and everything in between, and STILL he became a hero to millions- especially abroad. He has more fans in Mexico than there are people in Ecuador. Even Correa gave a speech today! Now in death, he's our most visible sign of a nation's historical divisions and social contradictions, and its potential to continue this post-mortem love/adulation for our charismatic Chucho to translate into a widespread social and earnest acceptance of Afro-Ecuadorian people and their culture in a social arena beyond the soccer pitch. Beyond the joys he gave us, the oohs and ahhs of our admiration for his undeniable skill, and our love for the underdog, what I stated previously will and should be his greatest gift to Ecuadorians. To love the way he loved! To accept the way he accepted. To be positive and inclusive. Tomorrow is going to be a tough day, gents.

I went to Ecuador after 10 years last year and couldn't handle some of the things that I saw. BTW, when I read that he was a lustra botas as a kid I almost cried.
I thought his father was an established goal-scorer in the Ecuadorean league and for the NT? While not rich, I would think an Ecuadorean international makes enough money to be middle-class.
thats what makes our ballers GREAT ,they have to overcome serious odds to make it.Chuchos refusal to be just a lustrabotas and shine with his talent and perseverance makes him almost mythical in my book, much respect to chuchito for becoming not only a great player but a great human being.wow that open casket pic on the english newspaper is tough.
que chevere, todo el azteca cantando ole ole ole chucho chucho en el min 11.del partido america vs atlas.
Wow, just wow! What a Beautiful tribute to Chucho Benitez by 80,000+ fans at el Estadio Azteca. Also, very nice gol by Mina.
