He's got the role according to AICN and other websites. Directed by Christopher Nolan, written by David Goyer and Nolan.

Supposedly the badguys will be Scarecrow and Ra's Al Ghul.

Either bad guy is great. But it is an awful pairing. Besides, having two badguys is always a big mistake - there just isn't enough time to give each their due. I think having just the Joker is the main reason the first modern Batman movie was the only good one.

YES. Batman-Catwoman would've been an incredible movie. but it was cluttered up with the penguin. Two villans is terrible because you have to go through each guy's backstory and then you're halfway through the movie. They drag.

Just no robin or batgirl. Just Batman and a baddie one-on-one.

Wasn't Darren Aronofsky supposed to direct the new Batman?

Christian Bale has weird teeth. And the only reason that's relevent will be when he wears the cowl. Mark my words. It's gonna be a big distraction.

IIRC Ra is the guy who has found these various pools around the world that are kind of like the fountain of youth. When dipped in it you get a certain amount of life. This guy Ra has been around for 100s of years and just does what he wants. But I remember all of this from the cartoon series, so I could be wrong.

Christian Bale was amazing in American Psycho. I can't really recall any other film he's been in, but I'm a late convert to Am. Pyscho having caught it on cable late one night.

I thought it was just some slasher movie -- little did I know it is one of the most searing indictments of/love letters to the miasma that was the 1980s ever set to film. And Bale gives one of the most wigged out performances I've seen in a while.

    Genius.

Indeed. The Huey Lewis & the News monologue is about the funniest and creepiest murder scene on film, ever.

I thought maybe I was crazy but I laughed throughout a lot of American Psycho.....particularly the scene where he is running through the lobby and shoots the security guy......

The last Batman sucked like no movie has ever sucked before. Why are they making another one?

I agree, I always thought Clayface was the best villain to be adapted after Joker, the riddler and twoface...the cartoon version of his story was really good, IMHO. Just think of what you could do with a guy who could look like anyone! Am I the only one who thinks that of all the batmans Clooney most looked like the comic version?
