Thank you Sergino Dest for transferring to Barca instead of Bayern, very cool!

I'll only pollute the gameday thread with this, but if Richards is capable of starting for Bayern ********ing Munich, that makes the US starting XI look really good. And really young, too. Run through that team in your head and try not to get excited for 2022 and 2026.

We might have a Golden Generation

I read that Barca may want to convert Konard to a LB. Too early to see any signs they have that in mind.

I know where you are going with this. I did have that lineup but not now. The stars are lining up for us.

He looks at home early. Pushing high up, not looking nervous.

edit: nm, wasn't richards on the chest down in the box. still, he's looking solid early.

This is a helluva first 10 minutes. Game is wide open, tons of action and interplay.

Really nice touches from Richards on that attack. He hasn't put a foot wrong yet.

Keeper plays a 40 yard ball to richards who calmly takes it down and pushes Bayern forward. You can see why they like him. He looks extremely athletic and with solid touch.

As they should. They’re a pretty good side.

Davies completely stifled so far. Hertha look to be shading the defense his way which def opens up space for Richards.

Good clearance from Richards on the corner.

I’m liking the fluidity in which Richards is changing positions. I’ll look up and he’s on the right flank involved in the attack and the new minute he’s almost tucked in playing as a third CB. It takes a great tactical awareness and discipline to do that without getting caught transitioning between the two positions. It’s nothing that is going to wow you per se but you can see his football IQ is high.

Playing safe, defense first. No mistakes but not offering much going forward. Good for a first game.

Caught with the ball a bit there. Should have played out better.
