With an antenna, I can get CBS, ABC, and FOX at least. Plus a lot of spanish channels if you can understand it!
Chris has assumed more of a leadership role, as has Lacroix, and the teenaged winter arrival from Toulouse, Canvot, has stepped in very well. With a real chance of lifting the Conference title, this season coukld end on a real high note, but who replaces Glasner is the real question. Chris will be fine though
The Spanish language channels can be great. I watch many of the USWNT & USMNT games there because I don't need all those streaming channels. Also useful for catching an occasional Liga MX or El Tri match.
Richards starts! Palace (13th) visiting Liverpool (5th) - should be a good test under match-like conditions.
A CB that goes 3 for 12 on aerial duels and misses a 0.62 xG chance is going to get a bad rating from FotMob.
He also got a 5.6 from Sofascore, lowest on the field from their numbers, as well. Maybe if anyone does human eye test ratings for regular league matches anymore he'll show up differently.
Richards starts! Palace visiting Shakhtar Donetsk in the first leg of their European Conference semifinal. The second (home) leg will be played next Thursday (May7).
He was his normal good self on D in this one but he has been in a bit of a funk when it comes to his passing over the last few games and it continued in this one. He passed the ball straight to the opponent a few times and didn't really have any successful long ranges passes of note. I will say that I have noticed that the CMs on CP tend to favor the left side of the O and that he often only has an option to pass to the RB on the sideline so his options are often limited but he needs to clean it up a bit. He created danger a couple of times on O with his long range throw ins and one led to the 2nd goal but yet another game went by where he wasn't even close to getting his head on a set piece. I continue to scratch my head as to how a guy can win so many headers on D yet create so few chances in the box w/ his dome. Would love for him to get more aggressive on corners.
That's an interesting observation because he has been the main threat to score with his head for the US. Maybe that is only when Berhalter is looking for him. CP should review tapes of his US play and figure out what is different.
Nobody mentioned it but one of Palace's goals was as a result of a long throwin into the box from Richards that was not cleared effectively.
"He created danger a couple of times on O with his long-range throw-ins and one led to the 2nd goal ..." You're not @nobody! Perhaps the missing hyphens in long-range throw-ins threw HSC off track. Or is it off-track? A h h h h h h h h h h . . . !
He and Wes need to have a competition to see who can do longer throw ins. Was this something FC Dallas taught a few years ago? BTW, has Wes done any of those recently? I don't remember seeing any. I think his shoulder injuries were a lot worse than we knew.
He had at least one in the game vs. AC Milan but he put too much on it and it went over the end-line. I think Wes has a better throw than Richards but you would want both of those guys in the box to receive it. They are our two best aerial targets. Besides, there will not be many long-range throw-ins in the WC due to the time limit on OOB restarts. I think we could see them if play is stopped for some reason but it's hard to line up to throw these if you only have 5 seconds.
That rule favors Wes having an opportunity. he might be over near the sideline when a long throw is needed while Richards should never be in that area with only 5 seconds available. BTW, that's the first I've heard of that rule so what is the punishment? Give the ball to the other team or a card? If giving it to the other team will have a comical moment where the other team is surprised and also doesn't get it off in 5 seconds?
