is gloster better off transferring to a club like that or is he better off playing 90 minutes every week in the 2 bundesliga? obviously no guarantees, but whats more likely?

    "96 is like a family"
Gloster, who, unlike Soto, is still waiting for his pro debut, said similarly positively. "Hannover 96 is like a family for me," said the 18-year-old, who had previously kicked off at the New York Red Bulls, "Hannover is the right place for my further development." And of course, helps him to "have a national team-mate with Soto who also speaks English".

lol come on Gloster. Most Germans can speak English and even learn it at school. Not sure why he makes it seem like there is no one to talk to but Soto.

anyways doesn't sound like he's moving away.

If he doesn't sign a contract extension why does anyone think he'll get regular games in the B2 with Hannover?

Same way every player playing out their contract might, by being the best player to win games and help them earn promotion.

PSV now have a massive hole to fill at LB with the departure of Angelino to Manchester City.

My German is shaky, but I think the article is saying that Hannover received an inquiry from PSV, but Hannover hasn't offered Gloster a pro contract themselves. This quote seems to imply that as well:

Slomka: ‚‚Chris hat bei der WM einen Sprung gemacht, ist ein interessanter Spieler. Und Soto hat ein sehr gutes Angebot von uns.“

He's saying that Soto got a very good offer from them, but with Gloster, he's only saying that he took a leap forward at the World Cup and is an interesting player.

That could be. What's left of my high school German is so rusty it's basically useless at this point. In any case, PSV something something.

  11. I found nothing about him from PSV watchers. He's only mentioned in rehashed bild stuff over here.

TM suddenly shows that Gloster's contract expires on 6/30/20 and not 6/30/19. I guess they had it wrong all season.

thing about Gloster is that a lot of reports have stated that H96 have offered Soto a pro contract but haven't (for now) offered one to Gloster. That could explain his desire to leave the club.

Though not directly translated, he wrote in his own words what he said.

"He made it clear to me that his wish is to transfer."

really does sound like he wasn't going to the H96 1st team and more RL so he didn't want to stay and spend more time there.

but PSV also have a PSV II, wonder if he'll be forced to play there 1st?

Presumably he would play for PSV II for a while. His highest level so far is the Regionalliga, so some minutes in the Eerste will only help. Preseason with the first team would be amazing, though.

if he succeeds to breakthrough good for him but if not than he'll waste more time in low level. I actually think Netherlands overall is good but one should try to avoid PSV and Ajax. Those 2 I find they have way too many players between U19, II, loans, 1st team and they also buy as well.

It's hard to believe from our perspective that they don't really want him though considering how much they'll have to pay him. Assuming his transfer fee is something a little over 500k and then they have to pay him the 250k minimum or whatever it is, that's an expensive player.
