    What a disgrace.
Free loan means that Wigan really wants to get rid of Cho.

Well look at it this way, Cho got a chance to play at the highest level of club football, and at the least got a chance to experience the training programs of a club at that highest level.

Also, did Suwon get a transfer fee for Cho? If they did this is a win-win situation for them lol, they get him back for free.

Regardless, Cho needs to get regular playing time to even be considered for SA. If he continues as he has done thus far, even that would be a stretch.

I'm sure if someone came in with a half decent offer they would have taken it.
At least Wigan get CWH off the wage bill and CWH gets playing time.

It happens, CWH has to move on and hopefully not let this mess with his confidence.

I disagree. The desire to leave was mutual. Cho wanted PT to position himself for a shot at the WC in the summer and Wigan wasn't really playing him, so they get to get some salary off the books. It would be hard for interested clubs to offer something considering they haven't been able to see him in action at Wigan.

SkySports made it sound like it was a one year loan with Wigan interested to have him back in Jan 2011. Martinez had positive comments regarding Cho (although it can be argued as just good PR). Assuming Cho regains form between now and then, Wigan holds the option to see if he becomes a better fit for the club next season or transfer/loan him out again and try to collect some transfer funds in return.

Some of the rumored moves before the official news of the return to Suwon were Championship sides being interested. Wigan has a reasonable chance of being relegated as well, at which point Cho may be a good fit budget wise and Championship talent level wise.

There are rarely any fees involved between the clubs when it comes to loan deals. The negotiations are mostly about who pays the players wages.

Cho Won Hee is retiring. He was a formidable marauder at continental level for NT and fully deserved his chance in EPL. We might not have qualified without him along with LDG in our runup for WC06. Always imposed a determined presence on pitch. Will always remember the excitement when he got picked up at Wigan and hunting for grainy HLs...
