Yes, he's finally back, but don't expect him to be match fit straight away. Just his presence on the pitch will give our side a lift. And with Mexes on suspension soon, Chivu's return is most welcome.

From the Auxerre contract mess this past summer. I can't believe it's taken this long to settle this thing, but Mexes will be suspended 4-6 weeks and we will have to pay Auxerre some sort of fee.

Ouch....Chivu returns, but no Mexes. I guess AS Roma can't get a break.

The way Mexes has played this year I'm not sure it is such a bad thing.

IMO Mexes has been playing much better lately, he played very well against Fiorentina and Lecce atleast. I believe he's finally adapting to Serie A.

Is it my imagination or is Mexes not as good as he was hyped? Maybe just an off year?

Mexes started off very poorly, but is playing much better lately. I would say that the weak link on defense is Ferrari. I was hoping Panucci, Mexes, Chivu and Dellas would be respectable. But now, with the Mexes suspension I don't know.
