Okay....I can be real donkey sometimes. But we did ge rid of hispanic players to. I like that we scrapped that old team. I'm in the minority group of Chivas fans (I know not too many of us in the first place) that like that we hav a Hispanic representation. NOT exclusively but why not with more. I know it shouldn't matter where they come from and in all honesty it doesn't. For a lot of years we became just like any other MLS team. To me that's boring. Yes I said that. Most American soccer is boring. Seattle and RSL are fun to watch but the rest pretty much is like watching a college soccer game. If I wanted to watch good American socce why wouldn't I choose the galaxy. Because I don't feel represented by them. It seems though that a lot of fans on here are not about Chivas as much as they are fans of any team but galaxy. I'm all about THIS team bad decisions and good decisions alike. And you won't catch me talking crap about OUR team with fans of other teams on their forums.

The LA SC crest is nice, but the LA FC seems to have too much going on. A lion, eagle, and bear, all in one logo? I know the bear has significance in CA, but what do the lion and eagle have to do with anything?

Edit: Never mind. The eagle, bear, and lion, are all represented in the crest on the city of LA flag.

According to Tom Marshall (@mexicoworldcup on Twitter), Vergara told ESPN that they've studied the possibility of rebranding. It'll be interesting to see how soon the change happens.

Los Angeles, South Carolina? Never heard of the place. :p

Seriously, either of these would be great news. Next step, your own stadium...

It'd be interesting to make a poll between the FC and SC badges and FC and SC names. I don't have enough privileges to do it.

My personal opinion, I prefer FC as the name, but the SC badge. To be honest both badges are pretty good.

This is BS! I am one for keeping the Chivas USA name. Let's think of this logically. Vergara is going to change the name and somehow it's going to attract the American born soccer fans even though he's not going to fork out money to bring in quality players? We've been going through this shit for sometime now. We've catered to the Mexican fan and the American fan and have had the same result. Someone said that the Mexicans don't care about MLS, well the last time I checked Americans don't care for loosing teams. If players like Defoe, Bradley, Dempsey, Keane and Julio Cesar, are coming to the league then we need to bring in players like Bravo, Arellano, Shina, Arce, And Salcido. These players are not to young and not too old. We are going to loose the name and still loose. Oh yea and Cabrera will be replaced by Palencia have way through the season.

We hope to get some answers soon, if the team is to make this change they need to take in consideration the fan base we all know that if we don’t invest money people won’t come even if we name the club something more American the key here always been the money $$$$$$$$$
    Mr. Vergara = Mr. Crabs

a name change alone can do alot more than we think. A name change, stadium, and some decent inve$tment in the players can do a lot more. Look at the hechiceras... I mean Gweezards...I mean Sporting KC Cheek-ons. And although I would have prefered CD LA or Club atletico LA, out of the two available I'll go with SC because it can stand for Sports Club, Soccer club, Southern califas, or Saca Caca

Even the timing of all this rebranding nonsense is terrible.
No way this is happening before the start of this season. The season is less than a month away!
Are they gonna just iron on the new crappy crests on last year's jerseys?

This would be a better idea if it was actually the first steps for a rebrand/sale of the team for next season.
The marketing aspect could not be worse.

Now that the sponsorship deal is over with Corona, now what?
No company would be willing to part with their money to put their brand on this team's jersey.

This team makes it difficult to get excited about the season.

I’m excited about the season, looks like we really have a good competitive team
Who knows may be all this rebrand shit is just a cucu idea of Vergara to create more excitement knowing him ……
    I would not doubt it
    Hopefully …
We build a good competitive team that can make it to the playoffs
And grow a constant fan base to 14000 per game that would be a good start
I just want it to be March 9 to be on the stand supporting my boys
    f@ck all the drama !

No. The inspiration would be Arsenal de Sarandí (ARG).

I wonder if Kroenke will be "selling" the Rapids to his son or MLS will allow him to own two franchises... Honestly, LA Gunners might be worse than Chivas USA - especially with the negative connotations of the name in the modern era. I expect some sort of Arsenal tie-in if the team does fall into Kroenke's hands, but I'm praying it's not that blunt.
