Ledezma and Cowell start for Chivas against San Luis. Cowell up top and Ledezma as a central attacking midfielder.

1-0 CHIVAS early - Cross from wide left. Ledezma attacks it well with a diving header from close range - keeper manages the save, but it bounces off the defender marking Ledezma and it goes in.

Ledezma GOLAZO in the leagues cup against Charlotte. Makes it 1-1. Lefty hit of a bouncing ball from the top of the box, inside the far post, maybe after a slight deflection.

Alvarez also starts, Cowell bench. Ream, Bingham, Bronico and Privett start for Charlotte.

Ledezma is down, injured, subbed off. Ream was appropriately solicitous. Still 1-1 at 65’

Edit: 2-1 Chivas - pretty spectacular diving header.

Chivas playing Santos - Alvarez started but pulled at half. Ledezma starts and survives the halftime triple sub. Cowell on the bench but didn’t sub on at half.

1-0 Santos on a first half penalty. 0 shots on target in the first half probably drove the substitutions. Ledezma has been a relatively strong performer.

Ledezma with an excellent line-breaking pass that leads directly to a headed goal line clearance. Chivas controlling the run of play better now, but still need more chances.

Ledezma off in the 70th for Erick Gutierrez. He had seemed a little gassed - noticed him not getting all the way back once and not close enough to the attack once.

Chivas draw a penalty right after he came off.

Chivas vs Pumas tonight - Ledezma, Alvarez, and Ruvalcaba start; Cowell on the bench. Start was delayed for some reason.

Ruvalcaba did really well to win a battle for the ball at the top of the box, and take a touch into the box, and then get taken down. Doesn't get the call, perhaps because it looked a lot like a dive even if he did get clipped.

Both teams score early second half. Chivas goal saw Alvarez get the assist with a nicely chipped ball to the penalty spot for Armando Gonzalez to head home. 1-1.

Cowell subs on in the 82nd minute for Alvarez.

In the 90th minute, Chivas with the likely matchwinner as Bryan Gonzalez plays a dangerous ball across the 6 that Aguirre knocks past Navas.
