Ugh, and from what I've been reading from http://wildeastfootball.net Shenhua had to pay him off 4million USD, talk about spending the extra TV money wisely.
the League expansion plan The China League one schedule is published today, and the 2017 China League one will have 17 clubs, bottom team of CL1 2016 will berelegated, Champions of CL2 won promotion, 14th and 15th placed CL1 clubs, 2nd and 3rd placed CL2 clubs enters play-off the expansion plan: CSL: 17 clubs in 2021, 18 clubs in 2022 CL1: 17 clubs in 2017, and in the following 4 years there will be 1 more club added to the League every year, CL1 will have 20 clubs in 2020 CL2: expand starts from 2016, 2016 CL2 will have 20 clubs, until 2027, the CL2 will keep a scale of 48 clubs! 4th Level will be added and there will be promotion/relegation between 4th level and CL2
who is the 17 th team from CL1? BIT or another team who finished 3rd in the CL2? pretty difficult for the CL2 teams in the play-offs because they don't have foreigners in CL2
14th and 15th placed CL1 club, 2nd and 3rd placed CL2 club will qualify for a play-off tournament to decide two places for 2017 CL1
While I'm glad that there's going to be an expansion there are just too many questions on whose going to pay for it. Such as is the expansion going to be part of the new TV deal or is the FA paying for this themselves? If the FA are paying for it how much are they going to subsidise or give out in prize money? I ask these questions because currently from what I've read when Qingdao Huanghai won the CL2 in 2013 their total prize money was 4 million Yuan but the total cost of starting and running the club was 20 million Yuan. We've discussed it before in these forums on how volatile the whole of the Chinese league system has been (still is) and how they've relied on wealthy backers to bail clubs out or see their team go bust, causing upheaval to the fans. For the first time the CSL could actually claim to be financially stable, thanks to the new TV deal but what about CL1 and 2 or the planned 4th tier? If the leagues ain't financially thought through and rely on wealthy backers to bail clubs out again the the expansion will be pointless because half the clubs would have gone under anyway and we'll be back to the early noughties when the FA were trying to expand the leagues, relied only on wealthy backers but saw half the clubs go under anyway, which saw the players give up on the sport and take bribes. I don't ever want to see that again and I hope the FA have learnt that a sustainable league system is the best long term option.
When CL2 teams play higher division teams in the CFA Cup, the higher division teams cannot use their foreign players. I assume the same would be true in the promotion playoffs.
Jeonbuk Hyundai defender Kim Kee-hee Joins Shanghai Greenland Shenhua. transfer fee 6m USD, Breaks K-League Transfer record
I believed Cahill was leaving because I somehow knew they would spending big on a younger, AFC player.
for free they will broadcast on the net? I guess not, how can I subscribe? China League One games will be broadcasted?
AFC CL Matchday 1: Jiangsu Suning vs Becamex Binh Duong (1-1) Shandong Luneng vs Sanfrecce Hiroshima (2-1)
i just saw the last 30mn, but they didn't play that well, i think need more time from the brazilian to adjust to the tactic and also the wet weather of vietnam didn't help. The foul who gave the PK for Binh Duong was usless since the GK get out to punch the ball. In the last 10 minutes Alex dribble 3 Vietnamese players and got a window for a strong shot (a little same as robben with Bayern when he play on the right and comeback to the center for a monster shot with left foot), but instead he pass the ball who end up dead. I hope that Shanghai Shanggang & Guangzhou Hengda will do better demonstration. Shandong on the other hand got a bit lucky to because Hiroshima got a lot of opportunity to score, thanks to their square feet strikers and to Magic Dalei who played like Dhalsim in the street fighter
I would the penalty given in the Jiangsu game is pretty debatable as to whether or not it really warranted a PK. That being said, Jiangsu has absolutely no excuse for mustering only a pathetic 1 goal against a Vietnamese team (no offense but it is a Vietnamese team!!!!!!). For all the international headlines they made this transfer window, this was downright embarrassing and no doubt the owners are pissed af. Hopefully Evergrande and SIPG can impress us tomorrow.
SIPG lose 2-1 to Melbourne Victory. Wu Lei with the goal. A lot of missed chances. Should've drawn at least with the way they played. Lots of players slipping though which ultimately led to the penalty
