Henan secures promotion with 0-0 away at Beijing, Dalian drew 1-1 at Shenxin and will be demoted to the China League. Shocking how Dalian failed to keep themsleves up with some of the players they have at their disposal. Congrats to Guangzhou

Wonder if Guangzhou will finally be able to lure Yu Dabao away from Dalian now. Also interesting to see how many players will stick with Dalian in China League. Chen Tao, one of my favorite players will surely be a good pick for pretty much any team in the CSL

Rumors say that the new Guangzhou Evergrande manager will be Fabio Cannavaro. Sad day for Chinese football as probably the best manager in CSL history has decided to step down.

Wu Lei scored another goal today in SIPG's last game. He is definitely moving to Europe this winter. With Lippi gone, I see Zhang Linpeng moving out too. Seeing Liu Binbin's development this year, I think he could also use a move to Europe. I hope that more Chinese players move to Europe and not stay in the CSL simply because of a higher wage. I always wonder if Gao Lin would have been a much better player than he is today had he moved to Europe when he was around 23-24.

Zhang Xizhe should look for a move to Europe as well. I think he's the top assister in the CSL this season with 12 assists.

Congratulations to Guangzhou Evergrande, from a neutral point of view I'm glad that the league went to the final day and I'm sad to see Lippi gone.

tbh I don't think Zhang Xizhe would succeed playing in Europe. Hope he proves me wrong but I see him as a nondescript kind of offensive player who would only add to China's oversea failures like Hao Junmin, Yu Hai, Yu Dabao, etc.

Only Wu Lei has value to play in Europe. The others will make only the bench.

Right on the spot. If you think about it, we all saw how Kakitani and Osako dominated at the East Asian Cup for Japan. Both Kakitani and Osako and necessarily lighting it up in Europe. Kakitani who was the better of the two at the tournament, is having trouble to even make the starting 11 at FC Basel. They are both clearly better players than Wu Lei. I fully expect Wu Lei to be used as a sub if he moves to Europe. Zhang Linpeng is the only guy I see starting at a club in Europe. He will probably be like Uchida when he transferred to Schalke. Much easier to get a starting position as a defender.

Well, I like Zhang because it's very good on attacking phase, but I think he has some problems to defend. Lately, Uchida improved a lot in defense. He is very good now.

Uchida has developed into one of the best right backs in the world. Obviously a lot for to ask from Zhang but his play will improve significantly if he improves to Europe. Lets be honest, the CSL is a crap league in terms of defense.

Guangzhou Evergrande officially unveiled Fabio Cannavaro as the executive head coach this morning. Marcello Lippi put down rumors that he had retired from management and said that he is the head coach of Evergrande, but won't be there for many training sessions or games. This will allow Cannavaro to then take charge if Lippi is absent.
