When i first read this i thought it was a joke but the three guys are 1. Hiddink 2.Troussier 3.Aime jacquet. Firstly Hiddink is a bad idea because he will bring too much expectation for the fans. They'll say "next time we'll make the top four" which is just stupid. Secondly he's already signed by PSV but China will try to go through the back door because Philips sponsors both PSV and the chinese NT. Troussier will go back to being a witch doctor and Jacquet??? don't make me laugh! Which world cup WINNING coach wants to be NT coach of China
here lies the problem China can hire a foreign coach and hope for success at the World Cup, but they aren't getting anywhere until they replace the Chinese PLAYERS. Why did Bora fail where he succeeded in Nigeria, Costa Rica, U.S., or Mexico? You can't tell me they're spending more money on soccer in Costa Rica or Nigeria. China has 5 times the population of all these other countries combined probably. Chinese players are physically stronger and bigger compared to the others. Chinese don't have to worry about clubs not letting their players go. Chinese WOMEN kick ass in soccer. WHAT THE HELL IS THE MATTER WITH YOU GUYS? Let's face it the Chinese team is just inferior. maybe you should start kidnapping Brazilian teenagers like Japan.
lol chachi, it already happened, Jia-a clubs brought tens of nigerian teenagers, if they turns out to be good as they expected, some of em will be naturalized. well, the gap between Korea and China is getting smaller and smaller, also gaps between europe and third worlds too.
i just noticed your location ticallista. yeah i'd love to visit your city. it's cozy, homey, and nice
Is China the Kansas City Chiefs of Asian soccer or something???? Whats with the regurgitation of coaching prospects.... Well you can forget about Hiddink...he would never coach China because his loyalty is to Korea...no ands ifs or buts about it. He has gone on the record to say that he thinks about Korea daily. He will return to Korea one day as the coach...mark my words...may not be the best idea in the world but he will. And another thing...no offense but no coach would risk status like his for an absolute project like China...Bora learned the hard way and failed miserably (probably his worst ever). Hate to say it but China is a work in progress where the fans have no heart... How in the hell do you root for Euro's during the World Cup when its in your backyard?@!?
Which one doesn't? You would get to earn tons of money not only through your salary given to you by the relatively wealthy CFA, but also through appearing in advertisments, book deals, TV shows, etc, etc ( ala Bora).
Work in progress, yes. But you obviously haven't talked to any real Chinese soccer fans to say that they have no heart.
Re: Re: China Targets three coaches fot NT job Korea found a WC-winning coach before the WC? Hiddink took the Dutch to the semifinal in 1998, but he didn't win it. Or are you referring to someone else? If so, then who?
Bora's worst? My goodness! Yes he failed, but he's very happy indeed. Do you know how much the $$$ he made from China? And millions of people treated him like God. That probably the best coaching job in his career. yes,China has a lot of works to do. But we do have big hearts. Every one of us. Who the hell told you that we root for the damn European. I saw in the other thread you guys talked about the Chinese media bashed the Koreans. I checked all the Chinese major soccer news sites, I don't see such things like that. They all cheer for the Korean's achievement of the past WC.
I second all the things you've said, kc. I bet you Bora was laughing all the way to his bank. The guy made so much dough during his tenure as Chinese NT coach.
Re: Re: Re: China Targets three coaches fot NT job not literally winning. many matches in the world cup. all three coaches had to an extent succeeded int he previous world cups.
Maybe not but I have a Chinese buddy who was in Shanghai during the WC. He was almost attacked for rooting for Korea during their games in two separate bars on two separate occasions...no joke...forget about the negative news reports of Chinese journalists downplaying Korea's achievements. Oh and I wasnt referring to his failure in making money...of course he did that...but to say that a team like Holland should have been there rather then China or Saudi Arabia is a gross understatement...
Sorry for what happened to your buddy. You talking about Shanghui. There are many Europeans in that city. Some of them invested money to open bars. Your friend just went into the wrong bars in the wrong days.
